We join you in lifting up this serious and heavy situation before our Mighty and Powerful God, and we thank you for bringing it to us so we can seek His will together in Jesus' name.
We are encouraged to hear of the former landlord's sister and her faith in Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and that any of us can be saved and used for His purposes. As it is written, Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6. We pray that the Lord will continue to strengthen her, give her boldness and wisdom, and speak clearly through her as a vessel of truth and light in her brother's life. We ask that her godly influence would not be silenced or diminished, but that God would use her to call her brother toward repentance and righteousness.
We also pray with you that the truth would not remain hidden. The Word tells us For nothing is hidden that will not be revealed, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light, Luke 8:17, and Have no fellowship with the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather even reprove them, Eph 5:11. We pray that this sister will not be kept in the dark about the life-threatening condition of the apartment her brother rented to you, which is a grave injustice and a failure to love his neighbor as himself, and about the serious allegations of evil that have surrounded this situation. We ask God to expose what has been done in darkness and to bring it into the light so that justice can be done and lives can be protected.
We must also address what you have shared about the immoral woman who had a sexual relationship with the former landlord. Scripture is clear that sexual intimacy is reserved for marriage between a man and a woman, and that sex outside of marriage is fornication and if either party is married it is adultery, which God calls sin. It is written Flee sexual immorality, 1 Cor 6:18 and Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers, Heb 13:4. We pray that both the former landlord and this woman would be convicted of this sin, that they would repent and turn from it, and that they would pursue purity and holiness before God. If they are not married, we pray they would either separate or pursue marriage in a way that honors God, and only between a man and a woman as God designed, and only with fellow believers in Christ.
We are deeply grieved to hear of the attempt on your life, and we pray earnestly for your protection and for God's justice. You shall not murder, Ex 20:13 is God's clear command, and to hire others to harm or kill is wickedness in His eyes. We pray that God would be your refuge and fortress, for He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty, Ps 91:1. We ask the Lord to surround you with His angels, to thwart every evil plan against you, and to bring those who plot evil to repentance or to justice. We remember that Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord, Rom 12:19, so we trust God to be the righteous judge while we also pray you will take every lawful and practical step to remain safe and to report these threats to the proper authorities.
We agree with you in praying that both the landlord and his sister, and all involved, would put God first above all else, for we are commanded You shall have no other gods before me, Ex 20:3 and But seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well, Matt 6:33. We pray that our Mighty God would expose and destroy every idol in their lives, whether it be money, power, lust, reputation, or any other thing that has taken His rightful place on the throne of their hearts. We pray that every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God would be brought down, as it is written we are to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 2 Cor 10:5.
We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one who has been wronged and endangered, and we ask You to be their shield, their defender, and their peace. Let Your perfect love cast out all fear. We lift up the sister who knows You, fill her with Your Holy Spirit, give her courage to speak the truth in love, and let her life be a light that her brother cannot ignore. Lord, open the brother's eyes to the seriousness of renting a dangerous dwelling and to the sin of sexual immorality, and grant him godly sorrow that leads to repentance, for He who conceals his sins doesn't prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy, Prov 28:13. Expose every hidden deed, break the power of every idol, and let Your truth and holiness reign in this family. Destroy every scheme of the enemy and let no weapon formed against Your child prosper. We ask that You would bring justice, bring repentance, bring salvation, and be glorified in all of this. We ask all these things in the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.
