The former landlord’s Christian sister

Please pray for the former landlord's sister, who has faith in Jesus. Pray that God continues to speak through her, and that her positive influence will change the former landlord. Pray that she is not kept in the dark about the life-threatening apartment that her brother rented to me, and about the evil, immoral woman who had a sexual relationship with the former landlord and most likely hired people to try to kill me.

Please also pray that they both put God first and that our Mighty and Powerful God exposes and destroys every idol.

We join together with you in prayer concerning this difficult and serious situation and we thank God for the Christian sister of your former landlord and for her faith in Jesus. We pray that the Lord will strengthen her and continue to speak through her as a vessel of light and truth in her family.

We are encouraged that she knows the Lord, for we know that the influence of one faithful believer in a family can be powerful. We pray that her walk remains steadfast and that her brother will be drawn to conviction and repentance through her witness and through the work of the Holy Spirit. We also agree with you that what has been hidden in darkness should be brought into the light. It is not God's will for evil deeds to remain concealed, especially when they have put your life in danger. For it is written have no fellowship with the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather even reprove them Ephesians 5:11 and for nothing is hidden that will not be revealed, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light Luke 8:17. We pray that this sister will not be kept in the dark about the life threatening condition of the apartment her brother rented to you, and about the sexual immorality that has taken place.

We must address that a sexual relationship outside of marriage is sin before God. Scripture calls this fornication and if either party is married to another it is adultery, and it is to be fled from and repented of. Flee sexual immorality Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body 1 Corinthians 6:18. We pray that both your former landlord and this woman will be convicted of this sin and of any other evil they have participated in, including the grave accusation that people were hired to try to kill you. If this is true, this is attempted murder and is an abomination before God. We pray that God will expose the truth, that justice will be done according to His righteousness and according to the lawful authorities He has established, and that no more harm will come to you. We pray for your protection, for He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty I will say of Yahweh He is my refuge and my fortress my God in whom I trust Psalm 91:1-2.

We also join you in praying that both the brother and sister will put God first and that every idol in their lives and in this situation will be exposed and destroyed. You shall have no other gods before me Exodus 20:3. An idol is anything that takes the place of God in the heart, whether it be money, power, lust, control, or self. We pray that God in His mighty power will tear down every stronghold and that they will worship Him alone in spirit and in truth. We rebuke all idolatry and immorality and every work of darkness that has operated here.

We lift this prayer together before the Father in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him we have access to God and there is no other name by which we are saved.

Father in heaven, we come before You in Jesus name and we lift up this sister who loves You. Strengthen her faith, give her boldness and wisdom, and let Your words flow through her to speak truth in love to her brother. Remove any veil or deception and let her see clearly the danger and the sin that has occurred, so she can intercede and be an instrument of righteousness. Lord, expose every hidden deed, bring the truth about this apartment and about this immoral relationship and any plot to do harm into the light, and let justice prevail. We ask that You destroy every idol that has taken Your place in these hearts and that both the landlord and this woman would come to true repentance and put You first. Protect Your child who has been threatened, surround them with Your angels, guide them to wise counsel and to proper authorities for protection and justice, and let vengeance remain in Your hands for it is written Vengeance belongs to me I will repay says the Lord Romans 12:19. Let Your will be done, let Your name be glorified, and let Your peace guard this heart. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to walk in the light, to trust the Lord as your refuge, to seek protection and to pursue truth through lawful and godly means, and to pray even for those who have wronged you that they might be saved and transformed by the grace of Jesus. The Lord sees, He knows, and He will act in His perfect time and justice.

We hear how much weight you have been carrying with this housing situation and how much you care that truth comes to light. It makes sense you would want the sister who knows Jesus to have clarity and to be a steady, good influence, and that you would want both of them to put God first above everything else.

We are joining you in prayer for her, that the Lord would keep strengthening her faith, give her wisdom and courage, and guide her words and actions. We are also praying for your former landlord, that God would work in his heart and lead him toward what is right and honest. And we are praying for you, for your safety and peace as you have felt threatened and unsettled by what happened in that apartment.

We pray for you now. Father, we lift this sister to You and ask You to keep her close to You and give her discernment. We lift the former landlord to You and ask for Your work in his life. We ask You to protect this dear one who is praying, to give wisdom, calm, and clear direction, and to expose what needs to be brought into the light in Your perfect way. Your burden has been heard and we have carried it with you to the throne of grace, where Christ ever lives to make intercession for His people.

We join you in praying for the sister who has faith in Jesus, that the Lord will continue to speak through her and make her voice a clear message from God to those around her. It cannot be that God has left the world, it must be that the world has left God, and He still speaks to the soul by His Word and by His Spirit. We pray that she may test everything by the Word, that she may stand upright and be kept from being hidden in darkness concerning the wrong that has been done, and that the truth concerning the apartment which endangered your life may be brought into the light. He who hides His own for safety also sees the hidden tear and hears the secret cry, and we ask that He will give her wisdom, courage and love to speak the truth in Christ, that her influence may be used for righteousness and not for concealment.

We pray also for the former landlord, that God would work in him that sovereign change of which it is written, Ephraim shall say, What have I to do any more with idols. Every heart is prone to make idols, and when we cannot rest upon the bare promise of God but must have something beside His Word to trust in, we idolize our own selfishness. We do not ask God to bless what His Word calls sin, for He has ordained that sex and dwelling together belong only within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, and salvation is through Jesus Christ alone. Therefore we pray not for the continuance or prosperity of any immoral relationship, but for repentance and cleansing through the blood of Christ, that both he and any involved in such sin may be convicted, may turn from it, and may seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. Let the helm of life be placed in the hands of God, that to glorify Him may become the master passion, and that Christ may be first over all.

We pray that our Mighty God, who not only meets evil with good but subjects evil to His own eternal purpose, will expose and destroy every idol that has taken His place. May He grant that any plot or conspiracy formed against you be brought to confusion, as He has often granted protection to the persecuted and provided an escape from the most perilous exposure. We ask for your preservation and peace, not the false peace which the enemy keeps over a guarded palace, but the peace which comes from God alone through reconciliation by the cross. May the Lord reveal what has been done in darkness, establish justice and truth, and cause even affliction to be turned to the good of His children and the glory of His name.

We pray that God the Holy Spirit would apply His Word to each heart concerned, that there may be a real and abiding conversion, that idols may be utterly abolished and the whole nature become the temple of the living God, and that all who are His may be taught to put Him first, to order life according to Divine law, and to find in wearing the yoke of God the highest liberty.
