Please pray for the former landlord's sister, who has faith in Jesus. Pray that God continues to speak through her and that her positive influence will change the former landlord. Pray that she is not kept in the dark about the life-threatening apartment that her brother rented to me and the evil, immoral woman who had a sexual relationship with the former landlord and most likely hired people to try to kill me

We join with you in prayer concerning this very serious situation and we thank you for bringing it before the Lord. We are encouraged to hear that the former landlord's sister has faith in Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. As it is written, There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus 1 Timothy 2:5 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. We praise God for her faith and we ask that He will strengthen her to be a bold witness in her family.

We are deeply burdened to hear about the life threatening apartment that was rented to you and we take seriously your concern that people were hired to try to harm you. God sees all that is done in secret and He is both our refuge and our righteous judge. We also must address what you have shared about the sexual relationship between the former landlord and this woman. Scripture is clear that sex outside of marriage between a man and a woman is sin before God. It is either fornication if unmarried or adultery if married, and God calls His people to flee from it. As it is written, Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers Hebrews 13:4 and Flee sexual immorality 1 Corinthians 6:18. We believe marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman that honors God, and any courtship should be with the goal of such a godly marriage to a fellow believer in Christ. This kind of immorality not only defiles those involved but often opens the door to further deception, manipulation and evil deeds. We rebuke this sin and pray for conviction and repentance.

We pray that the sister will not be kept in the dark but that the truth will be brought into the light, for that is the calling of every believer. You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill can’t be hidden Matthew 5:14 and For nothing is hidden that will not be revealed, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light Luke 8:17. We pray that God continues to speak through her and that her godly influence will not be silenced or pushed aside. We pray that He gives her discernment, courage and words seasoned with both truth and grace to confront her brother in love, and that He opens her brother's heart to listen rather than harden himself. He who conceals his sins doesn’t prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy Proverbs 28:13.

We also lift you up for protection and justice. The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1. We pray that God will surround you with His protection, that every plan to harm you will be exposed and thwarted, and that no weapon formed against you will prosper. We pray that if laws have been broken and life has been endangered, the truth will be made known to the proper authorities, for God has established authorities to restrain evil. At the same time we encourage you not to take vengeance into your own hands but to trust the Lord's justice, as it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19 and You shall not murder Exodus 20:13. Hiring others to kill is an abomination to God and He will not leave such wickedness unjudged, yet we also pray even for the repentance of those who have done evil, that they might turn from darkness to light.

Father, we come before You together in the name of Jesus Christ. We lift up the sister who loves You and we ask that You anoint her lips and her life to speak Your truth with boldness and love. Remove any veil of secrecy from this family and let what has been done in darkness be exposed by Your light. We pray for the former landlord, that You would convict him of his sin, both in renting a dangerous dwelling without care for life and in his sexual immorality, and that he would confess, repent and turn to You for forgiveness and new life. We pray for the woman involved, that her schemes would be brought to nothing and that she too would be confronted with her need for a Savior. Most of all we place our fellow believer who was endangered into Your hands, cover them under Your wings, grant them peace, wisdom in dealing with landlords and authorities, and assurance that You see, You care and You will act according to Your perfect will. We ask all of this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, our only hope and defender, amen.

We hear how heavy and unsettling this season has been for you, and we have been praying for you as well as for the sister you mentioned.

We are asking God to strengthen her faith and give her wisdom and courage to speak truth in love where she can, and to keep her eyes open to what is needed. We are also praying for you, that you would know God's nearness and protection as you carry these worries about your former housing and the people involved. When we feel unsafe or that truth is being hidden, it is understandable to feel anxious and on edge.

It may help to take a practical step alongside prayer. If you have ongoing concerns about the safety of that apartment or feel threatened, consider sharing your documentation and concerns with a trusted pastor or advocate and with the proper local authorities who handle housing and personal safety, so you are not carrying this alone and the right people can assess what happened. If you ever feel in immediate danger, please reach out right away to local emergency services and a trusted person nearby.

Father, we bring our brother before You in Jesus' name. Cover him with Your peace and keep him safe. Give wisdom to the sister who loves You, that she would walk in truth and grace. Bring what is hidden into the light in Your way and time, and guide each step toward what is right and healthy. Lead our brother to steady, trustworthy support around him. Amen.

We lift your petition to the throne of grace and join our hearts with yours in prayer.

We pray for this sister in Christ, that the Lord who has given her faith in Jesus will keep her faithful and make her voice clear and courageous for truth and righteousness. May she walk in the fear of the Lord, which is holy reverence and not the fear of man, and may the Lord give her wisdom and discernment, so that she is not kept in darkness concerning these grave matters, but has eyes to see what is true and a heart to speak what is right. We ask that her godly influence, as salt and light, may be used by the Spirit to call her brother to account and to turn him from wrong ways.

We pray for the former landlord, that God would bring him under conviction, that he would fear God rather than man, and that he would repent of all sin and wrongdoing. We do not ask God to bless what is contrary to His holy will, for marriage is ordained as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and sexual union belongs within that covenant alone. Any intimacy outside of it is sin before God and calls not for blessing but for repentance and forsaking. We pray that both he and the woman with whom he has been involved would be brought to see their need of forgiveness through the precious blood of Christ alone, and that they would turn from immorality to holiness.

We pray also concerning the apartment which you describe as life threatening, and concerning the evil intent you have feared from those who would do you harm. The Lord knows the truth of all that has been hidden and all that has been done in secret. We ask that what is hidden be brought to light, that justice be done, and that you be delivered from danger. We pray for your protection, for the Lord is the Divine Protector who can destroy and who can also preserve, and He has promised, Fear not, I am with thee, and Fear not, thou worm Jacob, I will help thee, saith the Lord.

You have known trial and the cruelty of slander and threat, and such persecution often drives the Christian nearer to his God. Be not dismayed, for fear is weakening and dishonors Him who piled the heavens and sustains the pillars of the earth. Labor to get rid of fear by looking to Christ who lived and was dead and behold is alive forevermore. He alone can deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. In proportion as your faith grows stronger, your fear will vanish, for perfect love casts out fear.

We commend you to Him of whom it is written, The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me. Cast all the weight of your trouble, your fear, and your infirmity upon the everlasting arches of His mercy, and trust in His efficacious blood. May He keep you in perfect peace, establish truth, work repentance where repentance is needed, and cause His own name to be hallowed in all these things.
