We join you in praying for the former landlord's sister and we thank God that she has faith in Jesus and that He is already speaking through her. We pray that the Lord will strengthen her and give her boldness to continue to be a light and a godly influence in her brother's life, and that her witness would not be silenced or hidden.

We lift up this situation where truth has been concealed. We pray that what has been done in darkness will be brought into the light, for there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light Luke 8:17. We ask that this sister will not be kept in the dark about the life threatening condition of the apartment her brother rented to you, and about the serious wrongdoing surrounding it. We pray that God will give her discernment and courage to have no fellowship with the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather to reprove them Ephesians 5:11, and to speak the truth in love Ephesians 4:15 so that her brother may be confronted and convicted and led to repentance.

We must address before the Lord the sexual immorality you have mentioned. A sexual relationship outside of marriage is fornication and if either party is married it is adultery, and God calls His people away from this sin. Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers Hebrews 13:4. We pray for both the former landlord and this woman, that they would repent of this immorality and turn from it, for whoever conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy Proverbs 28:13. We also take very seriously what you have shared about attempts to harm your life. To hire people to try to kill someone is to violate the command you shall not murder Exodus 20:13 and it is evil in the sight of God. We pray for your protection, for He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty Psalm 91:1, and we pray that God will restrain every plan of harm and bring justice according to His righteousness.

We pray also for your heart in this, that you would not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good Romans 12:21, and that you would leave vengeance to the Lord, for it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19, while also using the lawful authorities God has ordained for protection and justice Romans 13:1-4. We encourage you to continue to seek safety and to report any credible threats to the proper authorities, trusting that God works through them as well.

Father, we come before You together in Jesus' name and we thank You for this sister who knows You. We ask that You anoint her lips and her life to speak Your truth with grace and clarity to her brother, that You would open his eyes to the danger he placed another in and to his own sin, and that You would grant him godly sorrow that leads to repentance 2 Corinthians 7:10. Lord, reveal what needs to be revealed so that truth is known and no one remains deceived. We ask for Your divine protection over the one who has been threatened, hide him under Your wings and let no weapon formed against him prosper Isaiah 54:17. We pray for the woman involved, that You would convict her heart and lead her to repentance and salvation through Jesus Christ, for there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. We pray for peace, for justice, and for Your will to be done in this entire situation, and we trust You to bring good even from what was meant for evil Genesis 50:20. In the mighty name of Jesus we pray, amen.

We encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and in the Word, to continue to love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you Matthew 5:44, while also walking in wisdom and seeking godly counsel. The Lord sees all and He is your defender and refuge, and we trust He will continue to work through this sister for His glory.

It is understandable to want someone of good influence to know what happened and to hope that will bring change. We are praying with you for honesty to come to light in appropriate ways, for your own protection and peace, and for God to guide next steps for everyone involved.

Father, in Jesus' name we lift this sister to You and ask You to keep her close to You and give her discernment. We lift the former landlord and all involved to Your care. And we lift our friend who wrote, asking for Your protection, peace, and clear direction in the days ahead. Lead each step and provide trusted help and safety. Amen.

Your burden has been brought before the Lord with prayerful care, and we join you in seeking His mercy and His truth in these troubling matters.

We give thanks for the sister who has faith in Jesus Christ, for salvation is through Him alone. We pray that the Lord will strengthen her in that living faith, that He will continue to speak through her by His Word and Spirit, and that she may walk in courage and wisdom. Where there is darkness or concealment, we pray that what has been hidden will be brought into the light in a lawful and truthful way, that she may not be kept in ignorance of serious wrong, and that her voice may be used for good and for the revealing of what is true.

We pray also for the former landlord, that the influence of a godly sister and the conviction of the Holy Spirit would lead him not merely to outward change but to repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. We do not ask God to bless what His Word calls sin, for He has ordained marriage to be a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that all intimacy belongs within that covenant alone. Any sexual relationship outside of it stands in need of repentance and cleansing through the blood of Christ. So we pray that both the former landlord and the woman spoken of would be brought to see their need, to turn from immorality, and to seek forgiveness which is found only in Jesus, who alone can wash the conscience and give a new heart.

You have spoken of a dwelling that endangered life and of grave fears for your safety, even that others were hired to harm you. The Lord knows the truth of all that has been done in secret, and He grants protection to the persecuted and provides an escape from the most perilous exposure. Full often the darkest conspiracy is brought to the direst confusion. We pray that God will be your shield and keeper, that He will preserve your life, that justice will be done through proper means, and that you will be delivered from the fear that weakens and dishonors God. Hear His own word to His people, Fear not, I am with thee. We must labor to get rid of fear, for perfect love casts out fear and fear has torment. He who piled the heavens and sustains the pillars of the earth will not suffer His arm to be palsied toward His children.

Therefore we pray that you will not fear those who can harm the body, but will fear the Lord and rest in His faithful promises. May He take from you the sting of fear by taking away sin through Christ, and may He give you to fly back to your Noah, your ark, and find rest for the sole of your foot when the waters of affliction have risen. If you are in danger, seek also the help of those in lawful authority whom God has appointed for protection, and continue to make your refuge in Christ.

We pray that the Lord will perfect that which concerneth you, that He will keep you in His peace, and that He will make even this trial to work for your good and His glory. May He help you to say with confidence, Fear not, thou worm Jacob, I will help thee, saith the Lord, and to trust that He who is faithful to His Son will be faithful to you, to preserve you from endless wrath and bring you to endless glory in Christ.
