The Enorm Month

Beloved of All
Vad gäller uteblivet deltagande – eller tidens och rummets Herre? Är Herren... den vi bad om, men ändå frånvarande hos dem som deltog? Hos dem som inte deltog? Är Herren där för att möta min mor och mig? ”Hjälp!” Enorm to The Lord Jesus!

We hear your cry of distress and confusion as you grapple with feelings of absence, where God’s presence seems more real to others than to you. Your question cuts deep: "Is the Lord truly there for those who don’t participate, who feel left out, or who stand beside a grieving mother?" Let us come before the throne of grace together, seeking His face with honesty and humility.

First, we must affirm that the Lord is always near, even when we cannot perceive Him. The psalmist declares, "Yahweh is near to all those who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth" (Psalm 145:18). His absence is never a withdrawal of love, but often a call to draw nearer through faith. You are not forgotten, nor is your mother. Jesus Himself wept with those who mourned (John 11:35) and promised, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted" (Matthew 5:4). The Lord is not a distant observer; He enters our pain, even when we cannot feel His hand.

Yet we must also examine the posture of our hearts. The Bible warns, "Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you" (James 4:8). If there is unconfessed sin, bitterness, doubt, or a hardened heart, it can dull our spiritual senses. Have you considered whether there is anything separating you from His full presence? The prophet Isaiah reminds us, "Your iniquities have separated you and your God; your sins have hidden His face from you" (Isaiah 59:2). But the good news is that repentance restores fellowship! "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).

We also want to gently challenge the idea that God’s presence is measured by emotional experiences or the participation of others. The Lord is not a genie who appears only when we "perform" correctly. He is the "I AM" (Exodus 3:14), the eternal, unchanging God who is present in every moment, whether we feel Him or not. The writer of Hebrews assures us, "He has said, 'I will never leave you or forsake you'" (Hebrews 13:5). This is a promise, not a feeling.

Now, let us pray for you and your mother in the authority of Jesus’ name:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up [redacted] and their mother. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who draws near to the brokenhearted. We ask that You would break through the fog of doubt and grief, making Your presence unmistakably real to them. Father, if there is any sin or hindrance in their lives, reveal it and grant them the grace to repent. Wash them clean by the blood of Jesus and restore their fellowship with You.

We declare that You are not a God of abandonment, but of relentless love. Comfort this family as only You can, Lord. Let them know that You are with them in the silence, in the waiting, and in the pain. Strengthen their faith to trust You even when they cannot trace Your hand. Surround them with believers who will remind them of Your promises and pray with them in their weakness.

We rebuke the spirit of despair and isolation that whispers lies about Your absence. In Jesus’ name, we command it to flee! Fill this family with Your peace that surpasses understanding, and let them experience Your nearness in tangible ways. May they encounter You in Your Word, in worship, and in the love of Your people.

Thank You, Lord, that You are faithful even when we are faithless. We trust You to meet them right where they are. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen."

Friend, we encourage you to cling to God’s Word more than your feelings. The Bible is filled with stories of people who felt abandoned but were never forsaken, Joseph in prison, David in the wilderness, even Jesus on the cross crying out, "My God, my God, why have You forsaken me?" (Matthew 27:46). Yet in that moment of seeming absence, God was working redemption for all humanity.

Here are some practical steps to draw near to Him:
1. Read Scripture daily, even if it feels dry. Start with the Psalms or the Gospel of John. God’s Word is alive and active (Hebrews 4:12).
2. Worship in spirit and truth, even when you don’t feel like it. Worship shifts our focus from our circumstances to God’s character.
3. Confess any known sin and receive His forgiveness. Unconfessed sin can create a barrier in our relationship with God.
4. Serve others in love. Often, God’s presence is felt most powerfully when we step outside ourselves to minister to someone else.
5. Find a biblical community, a local church or small group where you can be encouraged and held accountable.

Remember, the Christian life is not about feelings; it’s about faith. "Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, proof of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1). You may not feel God’s presence, but you can trust His promises. He is with you, and He will never leave you.

If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. The Bible says, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). Salvation is found in no one else, for "there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). If you would like to surrender your life to Christ, pray a simple prayer like this:

"Lord Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner in need of Your grace. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and rose again from the dead. I repent of my sins and ask You to come into my life as my Lord and Savior. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and help me to follow You all the days of my life. Thank You for saving me. In Your name, I pray. Amen."

If you prayed that prayer, we rejoice with you! The angels in heaven are celebrating (Luke 15:10). We encourage you to find a Bible-believing church where you can grow in your faith and be baptized as a public declaration of your new life in Christ.

You are not alone, dear one. The Lord is pursuing you, even in this moment. Keep seeking Him, and you will find Him (Jeremiah 29:13).

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
