Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer and we have been continuing to lift you up before the Lord these past few days.
We were deeply burdened to read about the hurt and confusion you experienced after leaving your church. We have been praying for healing from the toxicity, manipulation and deception you described, where a mentor pressured you to take low paying jobs below the level of the skills God has given you, told you to neglect your God given talents, misrepresented his own will as the will of God though it is nowhere found in the Bible, and discouraged you from pursuing marriage because of your employment situation. We understand how painful it is when human judgment is presented as divine direction and when you are made to feel that using your talents faithfully is somehow against God.
We have asked the Lord to bring you clarity, peace and restoration. We pray that He will heal the wounds left by mockery and spiritual abuse and guard your heart from discouragement, as we are reminded in Psalm 34:18 that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted. We pray He will guide you into work where you can steward your talents faithfully for His glory, for we are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works in Eph 2:10, and whatever we do we are to work heartily as for the Lord in Col 3:23, which is the opposite of burying our talents as in the parable in Matt 25:14. We also pray for wisdom regarding marriage, trusting that marriage is honorable and that the Lord desires to lead you according to His Word and not according to ungodly control. We pray He will lead you in time to a healthy, biblically grounded fellowship where truth is taught and grace is shown, if and when He wills.
