Thanksgiving to God for His Enduring Mercy

1 Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good!

For His mercy endures forever.

2 Oh, give thanks to the God of gods!

For His mercy endures forever.

3 Oh, give thanks to the Lord of lords!

For His mercy endures forever:

4 To Him who alone does great wonders,

For His mercy endures forever;

5 To Him who by wisdom made the heavens,

For His mercy endures forever;

6 To Him who laid out the earth above the waters,

For His mercy endures forever;

7 To Him who made great lights,

For His mercy endures forever—

8 The sun to rule by day,

For His mercy endures forever;

9 The moon and stars to rule by night,

For His mercy endures forever.

10 To Him who struck Egypt in their firstborn,

For His mercy endures forever;

11 And brought out Israel from among them,

For His mercy endures forever;

12 With a strong hand, and with an outstretched arm,

For His mercy endures forever;

13 To Him who divided the Red Sea in two,

For His mercy endures forever;

14 And made Israel pass through the midst of it,

For His mercy endures forever;

15 But overthrew Pharaoh and his army in the Red Sea,

For His mercy endures forever;

16 To Him who led His people through the wilderness,

For His mercy endures forever;

17 To Him who struck down great kings,

For His mercy endures forever;

18 And slew famous kings,

For His mercy endures forever—

19 Sihon king of the Amorites,

For His mercy endures forever;

20 And Og king of Bashan,

For His mercy endures forever—

21 And gave their land as a heritage,

For His mercy endures forever;

22 A heritage to Israel His servant,

For His mercy endures forever.

23 Who remembered us in our lowly state,

For His mercy endures forever;

24 And rescued us from our enemies,

For His mercy endures forever;

25 Who gives food to all flesh,

For His mercy endures forever.

26 Oh, give thanks to the God of heaven!

For His mercy endures forever.

Dear Jesus we come before You and thank you, for Your love, for Your care for Your mercy. Dear Jesus day after day You are there for us, solving our problems, guiding us through the laberynth of life. Dear Jesus we are weak and we are human, please show us the way You want us to go, guide us Dear Lord in the right direction, do not allow us to stray and wander around looking for You when You are standing right in front of us, inside of us, all around us. Dear Lord open our hearts and minds to the eternal truth of Your power and glory, to the fact that we are nothing without You or away from You, to the fact that birds and wild animals do not worry about food because You feed them, they do not think about tomorrow because You have already taken care of Their tomorrow, they do not think about their families because You care for them. Dear Jesus give us the strength and determination, the resolve and the faith so we can be like wild animals, like birds, that we can turn our lives completely over to You, so that You may choose every way we should go, that we may live happily within Your arms within Your grasp. that all we have to do is do Your work, and serve You the way You want us to serve You. Dear Jesus give us the strength and conviction in word so that we may abandon ourselves in Your world, and appreciate all the small and huyge wonders You have created for our delight. Fill our hearts and souls with faith and confidence and love so that like little children following their parents, we shall follow You wherever You lead, without question, without doubt, without fear, filled with happiness for doing what You want us to do and going where You want us to go. Dear Lord give us the strength to love You and our neighbors in the same way You love us, to be willing to sacrifice and to suffer for someone else's good. Dear Lord let Your spirit fill our hearts and minds so that we can spread Your word, Your deeds, Your love to all around us, so that Your words pour from our mouths like fresh spring water quenching the thirst of all those who need to drink from Your fountain of love and salvation. Give us Dear Lord the tools and weapons we need to fight Your war against darkness, but not only the weapons and tools but the conviction, the strength, the resolution to stand fast in battle, to face the enemy with confidence and trust in victory for You will always be victorious against evil against the dark. Let us be alert always to the attacks of the darkness, for they will always try and they are relentless in their desire to drag us back into the mud and the slime, Dear Jesus, please, Dear Lord assign guardian angels to us, to our families so they can teach us, so they can join us in battle, so they will protect those we love most from falling as we fight in the fron lines with You. And last but not least Dear Jesus, allow us to serve You well, with all our hearts and minds and bodies for there is nothing we desire more than to be called Your children, Your warriors, Your servants. Thank you Lord Jesus in You we trust.
