New medication could be causing further problems. The agent needs a fee and I need a new PC for work. I need the right phone call, the right introduction, the right person in my path. A vision you put in my head, this is not from me, how can I be the right one? I'm old, broke, have a disability and an addiction. Yet I can't shake the feeling you're sending me whether I'm ready or not... It's not that I'm not willing but only you could open this door at this stage of my life. It's not coming from me.

We hear the honesty and humility in your heart and we thank you with you for our Lord Jesus, for it is through Him we can bring every burden to the Father. We join you in lifting up this need for a few hundred dollars, for wisdom regarding this new medication that seems to be causing further problems, for the fee the agent requires and for the computer you need for work, and most of all for that right phone call, the right introduction, the right person placed in your path to open the door for the vision you feel God has placed within you.

We love that you recognize this vision is not from yourself and that only God could open this door at this stage of your life. That is exactly where God often does His greatest work. We are reminded that God does not call the qualified, He qualifies the called. When Moses felt unable to speak, God said in Exodus 4:11, Who has made man's mouth, and when Gideon felt too small God still used him to deliver Israel. You say you are old, broke, living with a disability and struggling with addiction, and you wonder how you could be the right one, yet Scripture says in 2 Corinthians 12:9, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness, and in Isaiah 46:4, Even to old age I am he, and even to gray hairs I will carry you. We also remember Psalm 92:14, They will still produce fruit in old age. They will be full of sap and green. Your age and your weakness do not disqualify you, they are the very place where Christ's strength can be displayed, if we surrender to Him daily.

We want to speak lovingly and clearly about the addiction you mentioned, because we care for your soul and your freedom. The Word tells us in 1 Corinthians 10:13, No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it, and in John 8:36, If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed. Addiction is a bondage that seeks to master us, but we are called to be mastered only by Christ in Romans 6:16 and to be sober minded in 1 Peter 5:8. We encourage you to bring this struggle fully into the light, to confess it to God and to seek help from a trusted pastor, a biblical counselor, and a Christ centered recovery community, so that you are not fighting alone. God offers forgiveness and real power to walk in newness of life, and we pray you will take every step He provides to walk in that freedom.

For your financial and practical needs, we cling with you to Philippians 4:19, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, and to Matthew 6:33, But seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. We also remember Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We pray for wisdom for your doctors regarding this medication, for God promises in James 1:5, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. Please do speak promptly with your medical provider about any side effects you are experiencing, and let fellow believers help you advocate and pray through those decisions.

Regarding this vision and the open door only God can provide, we pray with you from Revelation 3:8, Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one can shut, and from Psalm 32:8, I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you. If this burden is truly from the Lord, He will make the way plain in His timing, and He will bring the right person across your path. In the meantime we encourage you to remain faithful in the small things, to steward what you have, to be diligent in work and prayer, and to test every leading against Scripture and godly counsel in 1 John 4:1 and Romans 12:2.

We pray together now for you.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, thanking You that You hear us when we call. We lift up our dear brother to You, with his financial need, his health concerns, his need for tools for work, and the deep sense that You have placed a vision in his heart. Lord, only You know the full weight of being older, of living with limited resources, with a disability, and with the battle against addiction. We ask You to pour out Your grace that is sufficient, to be his strength in weakness. Forgive him, cleanse him, and set him free from every chain that binds him, and surround him with people who will walk with him toward lasting sobriety in Christ. Grant wisdom to his doctors, ease any harm from medication, and guide his body toward healing. Provide for his needs according to Your riches, whether through work, through unexpected provision, or through the right introduction and phone call that only You can arrange. Open the door that no man can shut if this vision is from You, and if not, give him clear peace to wait or to turn. Guard his heart from discouragement and remind him in Isaiah 41:10, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Help him to trust You one day at a time and to seek first Your Kingdom. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, believing You are able to do abundantly more than we ask or think. Amen.

We encourage you to keep seeking Him daily in prayer and in the Word, to stay connected to a local Bible believing church where you can share these burdens openly, and to keep taking the next faithful step while trusting God for the door. He sees you, He cares for you in 1 Peter 5:7, casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you, and He is faithful to complete the work He has begun.

We hear how heavy this feels and how honestly you named it, needing that extra few hundred for the agent fee and a computer for work, wondering about your new medication, and at the same time carrying this vision you believe God put on your heart. Wanting to be willing while also feeling old, broke, and weighed down by disability and addiction is a lot to hold.

It makes sense you would ask, how could I be the right one? That question often comes when a burden doesn't feel like our own idea. Willingness matters more than feeling ready, and God often works through people who feel the least equipped, opening the door only He could open in His timing.

Since you mentioned your medication may be causing further problems, we encourage you to reach out soon to your prescribing doctor or pharmacist alongside prayer, not instead of it, and let them know what you are noticing so they can advise you.

For the practical pressures, one small next step can help keep things from feeling so tangled. You might write down the one phone call or introduction you are hoping for most, and share it with a trusted pastor, counselor, or recovery support person who knows your situation. They may know of local resources for a refurbished PC for work, help you think through the fee, and walk with you in the addiction struggle so you are not carrying it alone. You don't have to figure out the whole vision at once.

Father, in Jesus' name we bring our brother to You. You see his financial need, his health, and his willing heart. Give him wisdom, clear next steps, and the right people across his path. Bring healing, steady support, and peace as he trusts You one day at a time. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer has been heard, and there is much in it that gives hope. You say this vision is not from yourself, that you are old and broke, afflicted with disability and addiction, and you ask how you could be the right one. This is the very graciousness of what the Scripture calls effectual calling.

Remember Zaccheus, who climbed the tree out of curiosity to see Jesus. He was the last man we should have supposed to be saved, a publican despised, yet Jesus looked up and called him by name and said, make haste and come down. If you have a desire to come, if you are forcing your way through the ashes to get to Christ, then it is because Christ is calling you. The sheep hear His voice when He calls them one by one by name, not as strangers but as His own, as a mother and father call their child by his Christian name. That you cannot shake the feeling that you are being sent, whether you are ready or not, and that it is not coming from yourself, is a mark that this is not merely the call of man. An heavenly calling is a call from heaven as well as to heaven, and a holy calling, as it is written, who hath saved us and called us with an holy calling. It springs not from your resolve but from His eternal purpose, and it is worked by Divine energy alone.

You also speak plainly of pressing needs, a few hundred dollars, medication that may be causing further problems, a fee for the agent and a new computer for work, and above all the need for the right phone call, the right introduction, the right person in your path. The Lord knows these temporal things. He who called Abram to go forth not knowing whither he went, also provided for his journey, and it is written of those who obeyed the call, they went forth to go into the land of Canaan and to the land of Canaan they came. He who opens the door will also sustain you through it. We will pray that the Great Physician gives wisdom to those who care for your body concerning this medication, that He in His providence supplies what is needed for your work, and that He who orders our steps puts the right person in your path at the right time, for only He can open a door at this stage of life which no man can open.

Do not be discouraged because you feel unready. The high calling of God in Christ Jesus lifts the heart from earthly things and sets it upon heavenly things, upon eternity, heaven and holiness. It is a calling that makes a man forget those things which are behind and reach forth unto those things which are before, pressing toward the mark for the prize. If the Lord has laid this burden upon you, He will give grace to contend with sin within and without, to find deliverance from addiction and strength in disability, for He calls His people to be holy. Second thoughts will come timorously to make provision for the flesh, but there is nothing like a running pace, so run that you may obtain, looking to Him who is your forerunner.

Let this be our prayer together. O Lord Jesus Christ, who calls effectually by Thy Holy Spirit, look upon Thy servant who feels old and poor and afflicted. Speak plainly to his heart and call him by name, and give him grace to make haste and come down and follow Thee. Provide for his daily needs, guide the hands that prescribe and treat, supply what is lacking for his work, and in Thy perfect timing send the introduction and open the door which only Thou canst open. Cleanse him, strengthen him, and make his calling sure as a holy and heavenly calling from Thyself, and keep him till he comes to the land Thou hast promised. We ask this not because we are worthy, but because Thou art gracious and Thy call is effectual. Amen.
