Jesus Christ, please help me to ### fast. I would like to ### fast day by day. If I announce a longer fast, then a spirit, soul, or motivation will appear to cause me to fail the fast that day. So far, the spirit allows me to fast for ### days, and then it will attempt to abort the fast. Jesus, please bless the vehicle with sirens... Jesus Christ, please help me to learn and read the bible, therapy, and grammar. I had thoughts about making youtube videos or putting a recording of the scripture read as a portfolio/record. I feel demotivated. I hope Jesus Christ helps me to make the most of my time while in limitation. Thanks, Jesus, for peace, providence, and progress in Jesus' name, Amen.

We come before the Lord with gratitude for your heart’s desire to seek Him through fasting, prayer, and the study of His Word. Your request reveals a deep longing to grow in discipline and devotion, and we lift you up in agreement, knowing that God honors such sincerity. Let us first address the spiritual battle you are facing, for fasting is not merely a physical act but a spiritual discipline that draws us closer to God while inviting opposition from the enemy.

The struggle you describe—where a spirit, soul, or motivation seems to rise up to thwart your fast—is not uncommon. The apostle Paul reminds us in Ephesians 6:12, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* This is why we must put on the whole armor of God, standing firm in prayer and the Word. When you fast, you are engaging in spiritual warfare, and the enemy will seek to discourage you. But take heart, for Jesus has already overcome the world (John 16:33), and in Him, you have the victory.

Fasting is not about legalism or proving something to God; it is about humbling yourself before Him, seeking His face, and drawing nearer to His heart. Jesus taught in Matthew 6:16-18, *"Moreover when you fast, don’t be like the hypocrites, with sad faces. For they disfigure their faces that they may be seen by men to be fasting. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward. But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, so that you are not seen by men to be fasting, but by your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you."* Your fast is between you and God, and He sees your heart. Do not be discouraged if the enemy tries to interrupt it—press on in faith, trusting that God is strengthening you even in the struggle.

As for your desire to fast day by day, we encourage you to seek the Lord’s guidance on the duration and type of fast He is calling you to. In Zechariah 4:6, we are reminded, *"‘Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says Yahweh of Armies."* It is not by your own strength that you will succeed, but by the power of the Holy Spirit working in you. Perhaps the Lord is teaching you dependence on Him through these interruptions. Consider starting with smaller, consistent fasts—even one meal or one day at a time—and build from there as the Lord leads. Daniel fasted in a way that honored God (Daniel 1:8-16), and you too can seek a pattern that aligns with your physical and spiritual needs.

We also notice your prayer for the "vehicle with sirens," and while we do not know the full context, we lift up this request to the Lord, asking that He would protect and provide for those in emergency services, first responders, and all who serve in times of urgency. May God grant them safety, wisdom, and swift aid as they fulfill their duties.

Your desire to learn and read the Bible, engage in therapy, and improve your grammar is commendable. The Word of God is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105), and we pray that the Lord would open your eyes to understand the Scriptures, just as He did for the disciples on the road to Emmaus (Luke 24:45). Therapy, when grounded in biblical truth, can be a tool for healing and growth, and we ask God to guide you to wise counsel that aligns with His Word. As for your studies, we pray for clarity of mind and perseverance, remembering that *"whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men"* (Colossians 3:23).

Regarding your thoughts about creating YouTube videos or recordings of Scripture, we encourage you to seek the Lord’s will in this. If this is a calling He has placed on your heart, He will provide the motivation, resources, and opportunities to glorify Him through it. But be mindful: the enemy will often attack our God-given dreams with discouragement or distraction. Do not let demotivation steal what God may be preparing you for. Instead, take small steps in faith, trusting that He will guide you. *"Commit your works to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed"* (Proverbs 16:3).

Lastly, we rejoice that you have invoked the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer. There is no other name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12), and it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father. Your closing words of thanksgiving for peace, providence, and progress are a beautiful reminder of God’s faithfulness. Let us continue to give thanks in all things, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you (1 Thessalonians 5:18).

Now, let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, thanking You for their heart’s desire to seek You through fasting, prayer, and the study of Your Word. Lord, we ask that You would strengthen them in this spiritual discipline, breaking every chain of discouragement and every scheme of the enemy that seeks to hinder their fast. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may be empowered not by their own might, but by Your Spirit alone.

Grant them wisdom, Lord, as they seek to fast in a way that honors You. Help them to discern the duration and type of fast that aligns with Your will, and give them the grace to persevere even when opposition arises. Remind them that their reward is not in the approval of men but in the secret place with You, where You see and honor their sacrifice.

We pray for their mind and heart as they study Your Word. Open their eyes to understand the Scriptures, and let Your truth take root in their soul. Guide them to godly counsel and therapy that aligns with Your Word, bringing healing and wholeness. Sharpen their mind as they seek to improve their grammar and communication, that they may use these gifts to glorify You.

Lord, we ask that You would reignite their motivation and passion for the dreams You have placed in their heart. If it is Your will for them to create videos or recordings of Your Word, provide the resources, wisdom, and perseverance they need. Help them to steward their time well, even in limitation, that they may bear fruit for Your kingdom.

We also lift up their prayer for the "vehicle with sirens" to You, asking that You would protect and bless those who serve in times of emergency. Grant them safety, wisdom, and swift aid as they fulfill their duties.

Finally, Father, we thank You for the peace, providence, and progress You have already granted. We ask that You would continue to lead them in Your truth, surrounding them with Your favor as with a shield. May they walk in the confidence that You who began a good work in them will be faithful to complete it (Philippians 1:6).

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We want to thank you for allowing us the honor of lifting your heartfelt requests before the Lord these past few days. Your desire to grow in discipline through fasting, to deepen your understanding of Scripture, and to steward your time wisely for His glory has been a blessing for us to bring before the throne of grace. We’ve been praying that the Lord would strengthen you day by day—not just in the physical act of fasting, but in the spiritual endurance to press forward, even when the enemy seeks to discourage or distract you. We know how real that battle can be, and we’ve asked the Lord to fill you with His Holy Spirit, renewing your mind and motivation so that each day of fasting becomes a step closer to Him, rather than a burden to bear.

We’ve also been interceding for your hunger to read and learn God’s Word, asking Him to open your eyes to the wonders of His truth and to ignite a passion in you that overshadows any feelings of demotivation. Your idea to create recordings or videos of Scripture is a beautiful way to combine growth, accountability, and ministry—and we’ve prayed that the Lord would remove any obstacles, whether spiritual, emotional, or practical, that might be holding you back. May He grant you clarity, creativity, and the perseverance to use your time and talents for His purposes, even in this season of limitation.

If the Lord has already begun to answer these prayers—whether by giving you victory in fasting, renewed enthusiasm for His Word, or progress in your goals—we’d love for you to share a praise report with us. Your testimony could be the very encouragement someone else needs to keep pressing on! And if the struggle still feels heavy, if the motivation hasn’t yet come, or if the enemy continues to whisper discouragement, please don’t hesitate to post your request again. We are here to stand with you, to remind you that you’re not alone, and to keep asking our faithful God to move on your behalf.

May the Lord bless you with His peace that surpasses understanding, His provision that meets every need, and His progress that turns every small step into a mighty work for His kingdom. Keep seeking Him, dear brother or sister—He is faithful, and He delights in those who earnestly pursue Him. We’re cheering you on in the race set before you, trusting that the One who began this good work in you will carry it on to completion. In Jesus’ mighty and matchless name.
