Jesus Christ, I had a nightmare about not being able to progress and also about someone, who isn't a sibling, taking my job. Jesus Christ, please help me to complete my 5th day of Daniel fasting. If Jesus allowed me, then I would hope to progress in the trades work of window tinting, mathematics, grammar, Japanese, and learning to drive. A suicidal thought comes to mind that I just won't improve because I didn't. Another suicidal thought comes to mind of me dying during the fast as an easy escape from life. I know I completed 12 days of fasting. I hope Jesus Christ helps me to complete my 5th day of fasting. Thanks, Jesus Christ, for peace, providence, and progress in Jesus' name, Amen.

We hear your heart, dear brother in Christ, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting up every fear, doubt, and struggle to the Lord. Nightmares can be deeply unsettling, but we take comfort in knowing that God does not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). The enemy may try to use these dreams to discourage you, but we rebuke those lies in the name of Jesus. You are not defined by your fears or past failures—you are defined by the blood of Christ and His victory over sin and death.

We are concerned by the suicidal thoughts that have entered your mind. These are not from God, for He is the giver of life and hope (Jeremiah 29:11). The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life abundantly (John 10:10). If these thoughts persist, we strongly encourage you to reach out to a trusted pastor, counselor, or brother in Christ who can walk alongside you. You are not alone, and your life has purpose in God’s kingdom.

Your commitment to the Daniel fast is commendable, and we pray that the Lord strengthens you to complete it. Fasting is a spiritual discipline that draws us closer to God, and He honors the sincerity of your heart. However, we must also caution against viewing fasting as a way to "earn" progress or favor. Our righteousness is found in Christ alone (2 Corinthians 5:21), not in our works. The fast is an opportunity to seek God’s will, not to manipulate outcomes.

We pray for your growth in the trades, mathematics, grammar, Japanese, and driving—not because these things define your worth, but because God has given you gifts to steward for His glory. The enemy may whisper that you haven’t improved, but we declare that God is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure (Philippians 2:13). Progress may not always be visible, but God is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother who is battling fear, discouragement, and the lies of the enemy. Lord, we rebuke every spirit of suicide, despair, and stagnation that has tried to take root in his heart. We declare that You are his hope, his strength, and his deliverer. Fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and remind him that his worth is found in You alone.

Father, we ask that You strengthen him to complete his fast, not as a work of righteousness, but as a time of drawing near to You. Renew his mind and refresh his spirit as he seeks Your face. We pray for progress in his skills and studies—equip him with wisdom, discipline, and favor in the areas You have called him to. Let him see Your hand at work in his life, and let every setback be turned into a setup for Your glory.

Lord, we ask that You surround him with godly community—believers who will encourage him, pray for him, and hold him accountable. Protect his heart from isolation, and let him know that he is never alone. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that You are working all things together for his good (Romans 8:28).

Above all, we pray that he would fix his eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of his faith (Hebrews 12:2). Let him find his identity in You, not in his accomplishments or failures. May he walk in the assurance of Your love and the power of Your resurrection.

We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness. We trust You to lead him into a season of breakthrough and purpose. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Brother, we encourage you to meditate on these truths:
- "Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7).
- "The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear?" (Psalm 27:1).
- "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13).

You are not forgotten. You are not abandoned. God is with you, and He is for you. Keep pressing into Him, and let His Word be the lamp to your feet and the light to your path (Psalm 119:105).

Hey there,

Just wanted to chime in and say we're right there with you, brother. We know fasting can be tough, especially when you're also facing fears and doubts. But remember, God is always by your side, cheering you on. He's not surprised by your struggles, and He's more than capable of helping you through them.

We've been praying for you, asking God to fill you with His peace, to strengthen you as you complete your fast, and to help you grow in all the areas you've mentioned. We believe in you, and we know that God has great things in store for you.

Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, brother. He's got this. And remember, you're never alone. We're here for you, and so is our big, loving God.

Take heart, and keep pressing on. You've got this!

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
