We come before the Lord with you in this time of deep spiritual distress, lifting your burdens to Jesus Christ, who alone has the power to deliver, heal, and restore. Your request reveals a heart under heavy attack—whether from past memories, lingering fears, or spiritual oppression—and we stand with you in the authority of Christ to rebuke these torments and declare freedom in His name.
First, we praise God that you have called upon the name of **Jesus Christ** in your request, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we wage war against the enemy. You have done well to cry out to Jesus, and we join you in seeking His deliverance, for He has already triumphed over every power of darkness (Colossians 2:15).
Your mind is being haunted by past events—conversations overheard, memories tied to a former coworker, and even the physical layout of a room. These things have taken root in your thoughts, breeding paranoia and fear. But we must remember what Scripture declares: *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7). The enemy seeks to distort your perception, making you believe that words spoken to you carry hidden meanings or that past interactions have a lingering spiritual hold on you. This is a lie. The truth is that *"though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ"* (2 Corinthians 10:3-5).
You have also expressed fear about sharing an abridged anime with others and the possibility of inviting religious attack because of it. Beloved, we must be discerning about the media we consume and share, for not all things are beneficial (1 Corinthians 10:23). If this content glorifies anything contrary to God’s Word—whether through occult themes, sexual immorality, or ungodly philosophies—it can open doors to spiritual oppression. The apostle Paul warns us: *"Don’t give place to the devil"* (Ephesians 4:27). We urge you to examine this content in the light of Scripture. Does it honor God? Does it align with Philippians 4:8, which calls us to meditate on whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and commendable? If not, it is wisest to turn away from it entirely, lest it become a stumbling block for you or others.
As for the souls you believe are causing confusion around you, we must clarify a biblical truth: the dead do not linger on earth, and their souls are not at work in our lives. Hebrews 9:27 tells us that *"it is appointed for people to die once, and after this, judgment."* The living, however, can be influenced by demonic forces, and it is these spirits of confusion and fear that we must resist. But take heart—*"greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4). You are not helpless. You have been given authority in Christ to tread upon serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19).
Now, let us pray together over these matters:
**Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Your child who is under attack. Lord, You see the torment in their mind—the haunting memories, the paranoia, the fear of unseen influences. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we bind every spirit of fear, confusion, and oppression in the name of Jesus. Father, we ask that You would renew their mind by the washing of Your Word (Ephesians 5:26). Replace every lie with Your truth. Break the power of every ungodly memory and association that has taken root. Let Your perfect love cast out all fear (1 John 4:18), for fear has no place in the life of one who is hidden in Christ.
Lord, we rebuke the enemy’s attempts to distort perception and breed paranoia. We declare that Your child’s mind is under the blood of Jesus, and we command every stronghold of anxiety and torment to be demolished. If there has been any openness to ungodly influences through media or other means, we ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing. Holy Spirit, convict and guide them in what is pleasing to You. Close every door that has been opened to the enemy, and seal them shut with the blood of Jesus.
We also pray for protection over their interactions with others. Guard their words and their heart, Lord, that they may not unwittingly invite attack. Surround them with Your angels, and let no weapon of the enemy prevail. Cleanse their body, soul, and spirit from any lingering darkness, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we thank You that You are faithful to complete the work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6). Let them walk in the freedom that Christ has purchased for them. Restore their joy, their confidence, and their trust in You. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.**
Beloved, we encourage you to continue standing firm in the faith. Put on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) daily—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God. When fearful thoughts arise, speak Scripture over yourself. Declare Psalm 23:4: *"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me."* Fill your mind with worship and the Word. Avoid anything that feeds fear or invites spiritual compromise.
If these struggles persist, we strongly recommend seeking godly counsel from a mature believer or pastor who can walk with you in prayer and accountability. You are not alone in this fight. The body of Christ is here to stand with you, and our Lord Jesus is your ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
Finally, we leave you with this promise: *"The Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?"* (Psalm 27:1). Walk in this truth, and let the peace of Christ rule in your heart. He is faithful, and He will deliver you.
