We join with you in lifting up this burden, and we are grateful you have called upon the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). Your faith in turning to Him is a testament to your trust in His power and sovereignty, and we commend you for seeking His protection and justice in this trial.
The persecution you face—even from those who claim religious motives—is a painful experience, but take heart, for Jesus Himself warned us that such trials would come. *"Blessed are those who have been persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven. For that is how they persecuted the prophets who were before you."* (Matthew 5:10-12, WEB). Though this situation is distressing, it is an opportunity to cling even more tightly to Christ, who understands persecution firsthand and walks with you through it.
We must also address the matter of your heart in this request. While it is right to seek deliverance from those who wrong you, we are called to a higher standard—one of forgiveness and love for our enemies. Jesus teaches us, *"But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you"* (Matthew 5:44, WEB). This does not mean we ignore injustice or fail to seek protection, but it does mean we release bitterness and trust God to handle vengeance in His perfect way. *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"*(Romans 12:19, WEB). Let us pray that God softens their hearts and leads them to repentance, even as He protects and delivers you.
As for the airsoft gun, we encourage you to honor the laws and authorities God has placed over us, even in matters that may seem small. *"Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God."* (Romans 13:1, WEB). If the law requires an orange tip for safety and identification, it is wise to comply to avoid giving others a reason to accuse or persecute you. Our freedom in Christ does not mean we disregard earthly rules meant for order and safety, but rather that we live in such a way that our conduct is above reproach.
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother before You, asking for Your mighty hand of protection to surround him. Lord Jesus, You see the persecution he faces—unjust accusations and religious hypocrisy that seeks to harm rather than uplift. We ask that You silence the mouths of those who wrongly accuse him and turn their hearts to repentance. If there is any truth in their concerns, convict him where he needs to align more closely with Your will, but if this is purely persecution, we ask that You expose their motives and bring an end to their harassment.
Grant him peace that surpasses understanding, knowing that You are his defender and shield. Fill him with Your Spirit, that he may respond with grace, wisdom, and forgiveness, even as he seeks justice. Remind him that his citizenship is in heaven, and though he may face trials here, his reward is eternal with You.
We also pray for those who persecute him. Soften their hearts, Lord, and open their eyes to the truth of Your Word. If they claim to follow You, convict them of their hypocrisy and lead them to true repentance. If they do not know You, draw them to Yourself, that they may experience Your mercy and grace.
Finally, Father, we ask for wisdom in how to handle this situation practically. If there are steps he should take—whether in compliance with laws, seeking mediation, or involving authorities—guide him clearly. Give him discernment to know when to speak and when to remain silent, and surround him with godly counsel.
We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness. You are a God who sees the afflicted and hears their cries. We trust You to act on his behalf, in Your perfect timing and way. May this trial draw him closer to You and strengthen his faith. We pray all these things in the powerful and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
