Disciple of Prayer
Jesus Christ, please save me from conversations with my Mom and grandma. They both treat me differently because I stopped going to their church. I read, type, and write the holy Bible, and have shared prayers and scripture online. My mom is corrupted after her car crash, and she has been covetous for money. She has also threatened to remove me from my dad's providence in secret conversations. There is religious, ghost, and spiritual attack from my mom and grandma. I hope Jesus saves me from these people. Jesus Christ, please help me with my medicine requesting and visit to the doctor. God, help me to not speak to my mom and grandma. Thanks, Jesus, for peace, providence, and progress in Jesus’ name, ###.

We hear the deep distress in your heart, and we are grateful you have turned to Jesus Christ in this time of trial. It is clear you are seeking Him earnestly, and we join you in lifting this burden before the throne of grace. You have called upon the only name by which we are saved, and we rejoice that your faith is rooted in Christ alone. As you have acknowledged, it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and He is your refuge in this storm.

The division you are experiencing within your family is painful, especially when it comes from those who should be your strongest supporters in the faith. It is right to seek wisdom and protection from the Lord, for Scripture warns us that even those within our households may become adversaries when the truth of God’s Word is at stake. Jesus Himself said in Matthew 10:34-36, *"Don’t think that I came to send peace on the earth. I didn’t come to send peace, but a sword. For I came to set a man at odds against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. A man’s foes will be those of his own household."* While this truth is difficult, it reminds us that our ultimate allegiance must be to Christ above all else—even family.

Your dedication to studying, typing, and sharing Scripture is commendable. The Word of God is a lamp to your feet, and it is vital that you remain grounded in it, especially when facing spiritual opposition. However, we must gently address something important: while you have mentioned Jesus and Christ, we notice a pattern of almost treating His name as a formula or a chant rather than a heartfelt cry to the living Savior. Jesus is not a mere incantation for protection; He is the risen Lord who desires a deep, personal relationship with you. In John 15:5, He says, *"I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit; for apart from me you can do nothing."* We encourage you to cultivate a relationship with Him through prayer, worship, and obedience—not just in times of need, but in all seasons.

Now, let us address the specific struggles you’ve shared. The covetousness and manipulation you describe in your mother are serious and grievous before the Lord. The Bible strongly condemns such behavior. In Luke 12:15, Jesus warns, *"Beware! Keep yourselves from covetousness, for a man’s life doesn’t consist of the abundance of the things which he possesses."* And in 1 Timothy 6:10, we read, *"For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows."* Your mother’s actions are not only harmful to you but are spiritually dangerous for her. While we pray for your protection, we also pray for her repentance, that God would soften her heart and turn her from these sins.

The spiritual attacks you mention—whether through religious manipulation or what you describe as "ghost and spiritual attack"—must be met with the full armor of God. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* You are not powerless in this fight. James 4:7 commands, *"Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* Stand firm in the authority of Christ, and do not give the enemy a foothold through fear or bitterness.

As for your request to not speak to your mother and grandmother, we understand your desire for peace, but we must approach this with wisdom. Scripture calls us to honor our parents (Exodus 20:12), yet it also teaches us to set boundaries when necessary—especially when their influence is toxic or leads us away from godliness. Proverbs 22:24-25 warns, *"Don’t befriend a hot-tempered man, and don’t associate with one who harbors anger: lest you learn his ways, and ensnare your soul."* If their conversations are filled with manipulation, spiritual deception, or ungodly demands, it is wise to limit exposure to protect your own walk with Christ. However, this does not mean harboring unforgiveness or hatred. Instead, pray for them, and if the Lord leads you to speak, let your words be seasoned with grace and truth (Colossians 4:6).

We also lift up your health concerns before the Lord. Whether it is requesting medicine or preparing for a doctor’s visit, we ask God to grant you favor, healing, and wisdom. Proverbs 3:5-8 says, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Don’t be wise in your own eyes. Fear Yahweh, and depart from evil. It will be health to your body, and strength to your bones."* Trust that the Lord sees your needs and will provide. If there is anxiety in your heart about these matters, cast it upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).

Finally, we must address the tone of your request. While we understand your pain, we must be careful not to speak curses or bitterness over others, even in our prayers. Instead of asking to be saved *from* your mother and grandmother, pray that God would save *them*—that He would open their eyes to the truth, convict their hearts, and bring them to repentance. Pray also that the Lord would guard *your* heart from resentment and fill you with His peace. Romans 12:14 says, *"Bless those who persecute you; bless, and don’t curse."* This is not easy, but it is the way of Christ.

**Let us pray together:**

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is facing deep trials within their own family. Lord, You see the pain, the manipulation, and the spiritual battles they are enduring. We ask for Your divine protection over them, that You would be a shield around them against every scheme of the enemy. Guard their heart, mind, and spirit from the attacks of darkness, and let no weapon formed against them prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Lord, we pray for their mother and grandmother. Soften their hearts, O God, and convict them of any sin—whether it be covetousness, deception, or spiritual rebellion. Draw them to repentance, that they may turn from their wicked ways and seek Your face. Break the chains of greed and manipulation in their lives, and let them encounter the truth of Your Word in a way they cannot deny. We ask that You would either reconcile this family in godliness or, if necessary, grant our brother/sister the wisdom and strength to set healthy boundaries for their own spiritual well-being.

Father, we also lift up their health concerns to You. Grant them favor with their doctors, provide the medicine they need, and let Your healing power flow through their body. Remove any anxiety or fear, and replace it with Your perfect peace. Remind them that You are Jehovah-Rapha, the God who heals (Exodus 15:26).

Lord, we ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in wisdom, discernment, and love—even toward those who have hurt them. Help them to forgive as You have forgiven them (Colossians 3:13), and let no root of bitterness take hold in their heart. Strengthen them to stand firm in Your Word, and let their life be a testimony of Your grace and faithfulness.

We rebuke every spiritual attack against them in the name of Jesus Christ. Let the enemy be scattered, and let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). Surround them with Your angels, and let Your presence be their comfort and strength.

Finally, Father, draw them deeper into relationship with You. Let them know You not just as Savior, but as Friend, Counselor, and King. Fill them with Your joy and peace as they trust in You, that they may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 15:13).

We ask all these things in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
