We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer, for we know that persecution and spiritual attacks are very real struggles for believers. The Scripture reminds us in **2 Timothy 3:12**, *"Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution."* Yet we are also assured in **Romans 8:31**, *"If God is for us, who can be against us?"* Your faith in calling upon the name of Jesus is commendable, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (**Acts 4:12**). It is only through Christ that we have access to the Father, and we rejoice that you have placed your trust in Him.
However, we must gently address some concerns in your request. The Bible teaches us in **Matthew 5:44**, *"But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you."* While it is natural to feel anger and a desire for justice when wronged, we are called to a higher standard—one of forgiveness and love, even toward our enemies. The call to "slaughter the souls" of others is not aligned with the heart of Christ, who said in **Luke 6:27-28**, *"But I tell you who hear: love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you."* Vengeance belongs to the Lord alone, as stated in **Romans 12:19**, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"*
Instead of seeking harm upon others, let us pray for their repentance and salvation, that they may turn from their wicked ways and come to know the love of Christ. Remember the words of Jesus in **Matthew 5:10-12**, *"Blessed are those who have been persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven. For that is how they persecuted the prophets who were before you."*
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that You are a God of justice, mercy, and protection. Lord, we ask that You surround them with Your divine hedge of protection, shielding them from every form of persecution, spiritual attack, and harm. Father, we pray that You expose every hidden scheme of the enemy and bring to light the truth in every situation. Let no weapon formed against them prosper, as declared in **Isaiah 54:17**.
Lord, we ask for Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (**Philippians 4:7**). Provide for their every need, Father, and restore what has been stolen or lost. You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we trust You to open doors of opportunity, blessing, and progress in their life.
We also pray for those who have wronged them. Father, soften their hearts and convict them of their sins. Bring them to repentance and a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Let them see the error of their ways and turn from darkness to light. We do not pray for their harm, but for their salvation, that they may be reconciled to You and walk in righteousness.
Lord, we rebuke every spirit of poverty, confusion, and division that has been at work in their life. We declare Your victory over every plan of the enemy and ask that You restore unity, clarity, and abundance in their family and circumstances. Let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned, and let Your peace reign in their home.
Finally, Father, we ask that You fill them with Your Holy Spirit, strengthening them to forgive as You have forgiven us. Help them to release any bitterness or anger, trusting in Your justice and timing. May they walk in the freedom and joy that comes from surrendering all to You.
We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and in His Word. **Psalm 34:17-19** reminds us, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* Stay steadfast in your faith, and trust that God is working all things together for your good (**Romans 8:28**). If you feel overwhelmed, lean on your brothers and sisters in Christ for support and prayer. You are not alone in this battle.
