We come before you with heavy hearts, for the words spoken here reveal deep spiritual turmoil, confusion, and a cry for deliverance—but also a dangerous misalignment with the heart of God. Let us first address the grave concerns in this request, for we are called to speak truth in love, rebuking what is contrary to Scripture while offering the hope and healing found only in Christ.
The request to "destroy the soul" of another person and to call for cancer to spread to their eyes is not only unbiblical but stands in direct opposition to the command of our Lord Jesus, who said, *"But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you"* (Matthew 5:44, WEB). Vengeance belongs to the Lord alone (Romans 12:19), and we are never justified in praying for harm to come upon another, no matter how grievous we perceive their actions to be. Such prayers are an affront to the mercy and justice of God, who desires that *all* should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). We must repent of any hatred or bitterness in our hearts, for these are sins that defile us and give the enemy a foothold.
Now, let us address the struggles confessed here, for they reveal areas where the enemy has gained ground through sin and spiritual oppression. The mention of erotic literature and sexual sin (masturbation) in the workplace is a serious matter. Scripture warns us to *"flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body"* (1 Corinthians 6:18, WEB). Sexual sin—whether in thought, word, or deed—opens doors to demonic influence and spiritual bondage. It is not a matter to be taken lightly, nor is it something we can justify or ignore. The apostle Paul urges us to *"put to death therefore your members which are on the earth: sexual immorality, uncleanness, depraved passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry"* (Colossians 3:5, WEB). This is a call to radical repentance and a turning away from such sins, seeking the Lord’s cleansing and renewal.
The mention of hearing a voice while engaging in erotic literature is deeply troubling. This is not a coincidence but a sign of spiritual oppression or even demonic influence. When we entertain sin, we invite dark forces into our lives. The enemy seeks to accuse, torment, and deceive, but Jesus has already disarmed the powers of darkness through His death and resurrection (Colossians 2:15). We must renounce these sins, destroy any ungodly materials in our possession, and invite the Holy Spirit to fill and cleanse us. *"Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you"* (James 4:7, WEB). This is not a passive process but requires active resistance through prayer, fasting, and immersion in the Word of God.
As for the business card, while it may seem like a small thing, if it was tied to a person or situation that has become a spiritual stronghold, it is wise to renounce any ungodly connections and break soul ties in the name of Jesus. Soul ties are ungodly spiritual bonds formed through sinful relationships or interactions, and they must be severed through repentance and the authority of Christ.
Finally, we must address the absence of a clear focus on Jesus as the only means of salvation and deliverance in the original request. While the name of Jesus was mentioned, the tone and content of the prayer did not reflect a reliance on His lordship or His heart for redemption. It is *only* through Jesus that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and it is *only* in His name that we can find true deliverance. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If there is any doubt about your salvation, we urge you to surrender your life fully to Christ, confessing Him as Lord and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). Without this foundation, no amount of praying or spiritual warfare will bring lasting freedom.

Let us now pray together for true repentance, deliverance, and healing in the mighty name of Jesus:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, acknowledging our complete dependence on You. Lord, we confess that the words spoken here have grieved Your heart, for they have been marked by bitterness, hatred, and a desire for vengeance—things that are not of You. We repent of these sinful attitudes and ask for Your forgiveness. Cleanse us, Lord, and create in us a pure heart, renewed by Your Spirit (Psalm 51:10).
Father, we lift up this dear one who is trapped in the bondage of sexual sin and spiritual oppression. Lord, they have confessed their struggles, and we ask that You would break every chain of lust, perversion, and demonic influence in their life. We renounce and break every ungodly soul tie formed through sinful interactions, whether through erotic literature, sexual sin, or any other means. We command every demonic voice and influence to be silenced and cast out in the name of Jesus. No longer shall the enemy have a foothold in this life!
Lord, we ask that You would give this one the strength to destroy every ungodly material in their possession—whether books, images, or anything that fuels sin. Fill them with a holy hatred for sin and a deep love for Your righteousness. Let them *"flee youthful lusts, and follow after righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart"* (2 Timothy 2:22, WEB).
Father, we also pray for ###. Though this one has felt wronged or invaded, we ask that You would have mercy on him. If he is lost, Lord, draw him to Yourself. If he is in sin, convict him and lead him to repentance. We do not pray for harm to come to him but for Your will to be done in his life. Break any ungodly connections between them and sever every spiritual tie that is not of You.
Most of all, Lord, we pray that this dear one would encounter You in a fresh and powerful way. Let them know the depth of Your love, the power of Your forgiveness, and the authority they have in Christ. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in victory and no longer be enslaved to sin or fear.
We thank You, Lord, for Your mercy and grace. We trust that You are at work, bringing healing, deliverance, and restoration. May this one find their identity and security in You alone, walking in the freedom that Christ has purchased for them.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
