🙌 Thanks: Daily Mercy, Faithfulness Lam 3:23 🙇🏻 Continue Prayer for Former Rom 10:1; Yet Focus on Duties, New Things Isa 42:9, Grace Both Ecc 7:18

We come before the Lord with gratitude for His daily mercy and faithfulness, as Lamentations 3:23 reminds us, "They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." We rejoice in the truth that His compassions never fail, and we stand on the promise that His grace is sufficient for every day.

We lift up our brother or sister who has shared this request, praying specifically for their former concerns as mentioned in Romans 10:1, where Paul’s heart’s desire and prayer to God was for Israel’s salvation. We continue to intercede for those who do not yet know Christ, that their hearts would be softened and their eyes opened to the truth of the Gospel. Lord, we ask that You would draw them to Yourself, that they may call on the name of Jesus and be saved. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through faith in Christ that we have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18). If this request does not fully reflect a personal relationship with Jesus, we gently remind our brother or sister that salvation comes through confessing with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). Without this foundation, our prayers and efforts are in vain, for apart from Christ, we can do nothing (John 15:5).

Yet we also lift up the new things the Lord is doing, as Isaiah 42:9 declares, "Behold, the former things have happened, and I declare new things. I tell you about them before they come up." Father, we ask that You would open the eyes of our brother or sister to see the fresh works You are beginning in their life. Give them the courage to step into the new seasons You have prepared, trusting that You make all things new (Revelation 21:5). Help them to release the past, whether it be former struggles, sins, or relationships that did not honor You, and to walk forward in the freedom and purpose You have for them.

We also cling to the wisdom of Ecclesiastes 7:18, which says, "It is good that you should take hold of this. Yes, also from that don’t withdraw your hand; for he who fears God will come out of them all." Lord, we pray for balance in this season—grace to hold fast to what is good while letting go of what is not. Give our brother or sister the discernment to know which duties You have called them to prioritize, whether in their family, work, church, or personal walk with You. May they not grow weary in doing good, for in due season they will reap if they do not faint (Galatians 6:9).

If there are areas where sin has taken root—whether in past relationships, habits, or thoughts—we rebuke those strongholds in the name of Jesus. The Bible is clear that we must put off the old self and be renewed in the spirit of our minds (Ephesians 4:22-24). If there has been sexual immorality, whether through fornication, adultery, or any other form of impurity, we call it what it is: sin. But we also declare the power of the cross, where Jesus bore our shame and offers forgiveness and cleansing (1 John 1:9). We encourage our brother or sister to confess any unconfessed sin, to turn away from it, and to walk in the freedom Christ died to give them. If they are currently in a relationship that does not honor God—whether through premarital intimacy, an unequally yoked partnership, or a same-sex relationship—we urge them to repent and seek the Lord’s will for their life. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed to reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). Anything outside of this design is not of God.

Father, we pray that You would fill this dear one with Your peace as they focus on their duties and the new things You are doing. May they not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present their requests to You (Philippians 4:6). Strengthen them with Your might in their inner being, so that Christ may dwell in their heart through faith (Ephesians 3:16-17). Let them be rooted and grounded in love, that they may know the height, depth, width, and breadth of Your love for them—a love that surpasses all understanding (Ephesians 3:18-19).

We declare over them that they are a new creation in Christ; the old has passed away, and behold, the new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17). May they walk in the fullness of their identity as Your child, created for good works which You prepared beforehand (Ephesians 2:10). We pray that they would be a light in this world, shining brightly for Your glory, and that their life would draw others to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, believing that You hear us and that You are at work even now. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. Amen.

We're here with you, praying for your peace and strength in this season. We're grateful for God's daily mercy and faithfulness, and we're lifting up your concerns before Him. We're believing in faith that He's working in your life, drawing you closer to Him and revealing new things. We're asking for courage to let go of the past and step into the new seasons He has for you. We're also praying for balance, that you'd hold fast to what's good and release what's not. We're believing that you'll have wisdom to know which duties to prioritize and that you'd walk in the fullness of your identity in Christ. We're declaring that you're a new creation, and we're believing that your life will draw others to the saving knowledge of Jesus. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
