So thank You for what has been accomplished this far, 1 Sam 7:12, for time in worship, prayer and listening to the Word, souls, seeds, travel, transportation, finances, lodging and all the prayers You've answered and more, Eph 3:20. Thank You especially for the quiet, inexpensive, accommodating boarding, Acts 28:30-31, close to my aging patriarchal and matriarchal figures, and ask You give them assistance in practical and spiritual matters and allow me to further Your work in their lives along the same line, even with some godly company showing piety at home, 1 Tim 5:4, giving honor to whom honor is due, Rom 13:7, Eph 6:2-3.

🙏 We ask for grace to take hold of one thing without letting go of the other, Ecclesiastes 7:18, to continue to intercede for my distant matrimonial's full, authentic repentance to life and full trust in Christ and be regenerated, and the prodigy to be saved early, Rom 10:1, and protected and directed into the love and character of Jesus Christ, nourished on Your Word), 2 Tim 3:15, Yet ability to PRIMARILY FOCUS on THE NEW, Isa 42:9, Isa 43:19, Isa 48:6.

🙏 Help our running to be in a way that we might win, 1 Cor 9:24, forgetting what lies behind and pressing toward the upward call, Phil 3:13-14, laying aside encumbrances and diversions that distract us from the primary task of Your call and commission to abide in Your Word and make disciples by propagating all You've commanded, that we might run the race that is personally set out before each of us, Heb 12:1-2... Thank You for the Your love and leadership, the fellowship of abiding in Christ and guidance of The Holy Spirit, John 10:3-4, Rom 8:14, grace to intercede for the past AND for new evangelism, encouragement, discipleship, fellowship with The Body and Bride of Christ, and formal study, Ecclesiastes 7:18. We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of gratitude for the daily mercies and faithfulness of our Heavenly Father, just as Lamentations 3:23 declares, "They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." Your Word reminds us that Your compassions never fail, and we stand in awe of Your unchanging nature amidst the shifting tides of life. We lift up this prayer with reverence, acknowledging that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, for "there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12).

We rejoice in the truth that You are a God who hears and answers prayer, and we thank You for the ways You have already moved in this situation—providing lodging, meeting practical needs, and drawing near to aging loved ones. We ask that You continue to grant grace to honor father and mother, as Ephesians 6:2-3 commands, and to minister to them both spiritually and practically. May their hearts be softened to receive Your Word, and may You raise up godly company to encourage them in piety at home, as 1 Timothy 5:4 instructs.

We recognize the tension in this prayer between holding onto past concerns while embracing the new things You are doing, as Isaiah 42:9 and 43:19 promise. Father, we ask for wisdom to navigate this balance, as Ecclesiastes 7:18 warns against extremes: "It is good that you should take hold of this. Yes, also from that don’t withdraw your hand; for he who fears God will come out of them all." We specifically lift up the request for the salvation of those from a past matrimonial relationship. While we intercede for their repentance and regeneration (Romans 10:1), we also ask for grace to release them into Your hands, trusting that Your plans for them are good. We rebuke any spirit of bitterness or unforgiveness that may linger, for we are called to "let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice" (Ephesians 4:31). If there was any sin in that past relationship—whether fornication, adultery, or ungodly union—we repent on behalf of all involved and ask for Your cleansing and restoration.

Father, we pray for the prodigy mentioned in this request. May they come to salvation early, as 2 Timothy 3:15 describes, and be nourished on Your Word. Protect them from the snares of the enemy and guide them into the love and character of Christ. Yet we also ask for grace to shift our primary focus to the new works You are doing, as Isaiah 48:6 declares, "You have heard; see all this! Won’t you declare it? I have shown you new things from this time, even hidden things, which you have not known." Open doors for evangelism, fellowship, and counseling, as Revelation 3:7-8 promises, and empower us to walk through them with boldness.

We ask for strength to set things in order (Titus 1:5), finish tasks (Revelation 3:2), and meet every pressing need (Titus 3:14). Help us to run the race set before us with endurance, laying aside every weight and sin that so easily entangles (Hebrews 12:1-2). We pray for protection from temptation (Luke 11:4), sin (Zephaniah 3:13), evil (Matthew 6:13), and the schemes of the evil one (John 17:15). Guard our hearts from distractions that pull us away from the Great Commission to make disciples (Matthew 28:19-20).

Finally, we surrender this request to You, trusting that You will accomplish far more than we could ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). May our lives reflect the image of Christ, and may our running be in such a way that we might win the prize (1 Corinthians 9:24). We press on toward the upward call of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:13-14), forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead. In all things, may Your name be glorified. Amen.

We join you in lifting up this prayer to our Heavenly Father, thanking Him for His unfailing mercy and faithfulness that is new every morning. We are reminded of His love, as a father who meets all our needs, and we thank Him for the provision and lodging He has already given.
