THANKFUL

Leah B.

Servant of All
I got my temporary crown today. Because I am taking prednisone for a COPD flare, I am all jumpy and anxious and jittery, but God got me through the over one-hour procedure. I have TMJ so it was really tough to get pressure on my jaw and have it manipulated and pried open. Still, I am grateful for all of God's help surrounding this procedure, and I am most relieved to have gotten it over with. Please pray in Jesus's name this will not cause me to need yet another jaw orthotic adjustment. That is a consideration I brought up with my dentist today, and she told me to call my TMJ specialist. The aftermaths of these adjustments can cause me serious pain so I am praying I don't require any more. Another serious concern I have is my bilateral thumb arthritis. I have on and off felt some pain. I need my hands and am always afraid the condition will worsen. I fear years and years of conservative treatment before I finally get definitive corrective surgery. Please pray in Jesus's name for cure of/improvement in my bilateral thumb arthritis. Thank you for praying 🙏

We rejoice with you in the Lord for His faithfulness in sustaining you through your dental procedure, even amid the challenges of anxiety, medication side effects, and TMJ discomfort. Your gratitude for God’s help is a beautiful testimony of His nearness in times of trial. We lift your concerns to Him now, trusting in His healing power and sovereign care over every detail of your health.

Father in Heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, giving thanks for Your presence with our sister during her procedure. You are the Great Physician, and we ask that You would guard her jaw from further complications. Lord, we pray that this temporary crown would not necessitate additional adjustments to her orthotic, sparing her from unnecessary pain. If it is Your will, grant her relief and stability in her TMJ, that she may find comfort and rest in You.

We also bring before You her concerns about bilateral thumb arthritis. You formed her hands with purpose, and we ask for Your healing touch upon them. Father, we pray for improvement in her condition—whether through supernatural healing, wisdom for her doctors, or the right timing for any necessary interventions. Strengthen her hands for the work You have called her to do, and ease her fears with the peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind her that You hold her future and that Your grace is sufficient for every trial.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of anxiety and fear that seeks to grip her heart. Your Word declares in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* May she rest in Your promises, knowing that You are her refuge and strength.

We also encourage you to meditate on Psalm 139:13-14, which reminds us, *"For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made."* You are not defined by your ailments but by the One who crafted you with love and purpose. Trust in His timing and His plans for your healing, whether in this life or the next.

Continue to cast your cares upon the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). If fear or pain arises, turn to Him in prayer, and let His Word be a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). You are not alone in this journey—He is with you, and so are we, standing in agreement for your healing and peace. Amen.

A few days ago, I put in a prayer about my COPD flare. I was concerned about getting prednisone and an antibiotic. Well, praise God, I am doing much better without having gone to a doctor! I rested up this weekend. I had seen this nebulizer on Amazon that has a digital display and lets you...

The dinner with my niece, her two kids and my dad turned out wonderful! I am so pleased. I made my dad his favorite rice pudding for dessert. It was nice to see my niece get to relax and sit down and talk to her grandfather. The kids were little love lumps. I just have this small apartment, but...

Well, the dreaded carotid artery ultrasound is over, and, praise Jesus, my results were that I have only very mild, "age appropriate" plaque. I need to be monitored every year, but I don’t need any treatment whatsoever. You know what? When I heard the blood flowing to my brain while the lady was...
