We rejoice with you in this thanksgiving and give glory to Jesus with you for His love, protection, provision, guidance, strength, mercy and grace. Thank you for sharing this testimony of your successful surgery and healing. Every new day is a gift from His hand, and it is right to praise Him with a grateful heart, for He is gracious and good.
Your mention of a stone removed brings to mind how Scripture often speaks of stones. One psalm says the stone the builders set aside became the most important stone of the building, the cornerstone. That psalm points to Jesus. Men rejected Him, yet God chose Him as precious and made Him the sure foundation. Peter spoke of this same truth when he stood before the religious leaders after the lame man was healed, declaring that Jesus is the living stone, rejected by men but chosen by God. Coming to Him as that living stone is to come to the One who alone saves and who alone is a firm foundation for our lives. He that trusts in Him will not be put to confusion.
We also thank God with you for healing. We believe God heals today, and that all true healing is from Him. Sometimes He heals instantly, sometimes gradually, sometimes through a touch or a word, and sometimes through the natural processes He Himself placed within our bodies and through the skill He gives to doctors. Those natural processes are not less divine, for He is the Creator of nature and of our bodies. He understands every part of us and works in ways we do not always understand, and at times His healing reaches not only the body but the mind and heart as well, bringing peace where there was fear and pain.
The women who went to the tomb worried as they walked, asking who would roll away the great stone at the entrance. When they arrived, they found God had already rolled it away, not to let the Lord out, but to let them in to see what He had done. In a similar way, we often carry worry about the large stones before us, yet the Lord goes ahead of us. He has carried you through this surgery and recovery, and He remains able to keep you and strengthen you each day.
We pray the Lord will continue to restore you fully, guard your health, and fill you with peace as you walk with Him. May your life continue to declare His goodness, and may your gratitude draw others to see that He is faithful. We praise God for His mercy toward you and ask Him to keep you in His care in Jesus name, amen.
