Healing Prayer

What is the great matter of your heart? You speak of ### and ###, of ### and a coming ###, and these things are not trifles. Yet I must ask, is the heart itself, that deep, spiritual center, made of flesh, or is it still a stone? A man may be most earnest for the health of his body while his soul lies cold. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes. I would have you healed in body; God grant it. But I tremble lest you should see with your eyes, and hear with your ears, and understand with your heart, and convert, and be healed in the deepest sense, and yet miss it. Your prayer climbs to heaven for the ###'s hands to be guided. It is well. Yet consider the greater surgery. None but he that made the heart could execute such delicate surgery as this, to take away the stony heart and give a heart of flesh. Do you feel your heart cold as a stone and hard as a rock? Does it remain unmoved even as you plead for your life? That very mourning is a hopeful sign, for a heart entirely stone would feel no grief over its own hardness. Those who mourn that their heart is a heart of stone, if they were to look calmly at the matter, might perceive that it is not all stone, or else there would not be a mourning because of hardness. You ask for stability in your ### and ### and for your ### to be calmed. I would not diminish your trial, for these pains are real. But have you not found out yet that the very ### which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty? To battle with ### is a wise action. Yet there is a deeper calm for the deepest ailment. You ask for healing of the body’s ###; do you seek healing from the heart’s stone? A broken heart might bleed to death before any hand would offer to bind it up, but here is one whose heart was pierced. Best of all, as the Healer of broken hearts, God has chosen One whose own heart was broken, Jesus died of a broken heart. Do not think the order of things is first to have a tender heart and then to come to Christ. It is God’s to give you a tender heart, not yours to create it. Look to Jesus as the Pierced One. The look which blesses us so as to produce tenderness of heart is a look to him. Heart of stone, relent! relent! Melt by Jesus’ love subdued! Can you see the blood upon his garments? It is the blood of all your sins. Bring your poor, anxious, broken heart to the heart that was once pierced by the soldier’s spear. Your broken heart shall find sweetest rest in Jesus, and in that day of mercy you shall sing a new song, the swell of the diapason of the heart.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

When you pray, rest assured that the cry of your heart ascends to God more clearly than any trumpet, even when your lips are silent. Moses said nothing, yet God heard his inward groaning and answered. Hannah’s voice was not heard, but her heart cried out, and she received all she desired. Your prayer, this quiet offering of your fears and your trust, is not lost on the God who hearkens to the depths of the soul. Do not measure His hearing by the noise of your words, but by the earnestness of your faith.

You ask for bodily healing: for blood pressure, cholesterol, heart rhythm, kidneys, and a safe surgery. These are good things to seek, for the body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Yet recall that the blood of the New Covenant was shed for the remission of sins, and its power overshadows every earthly healing. Christ did not pour out His blood merely for a temporary ease, but to cleanse the whole person, body, soul, and spirit, and to restore you to the wholeness of eternal life. Whether He grants you a swift recovery or calls you to bear a thorn in the flesh, His grace is sufficient, and His burden remains light. Do not let anxiety over the outcome churn within you like a storm; cast that weight upon the gentle yoke of the Master, who is meek and lowly of heart, and you will find rest for your soul.

As for the surgeons and nurses who will attend you, remember that God often works through human hands. The apostle rejoiced that his hearers received his word not as a human message but as the very word of God. So too, trust that the skill of these physicians is under divine guidance. Pray for them, but then commit the entire event into the hands of the One who neither slumbers nor sleeps. He who formed the kidneys and set the heart to its rhythm knows every hidden passage of your body. If it is His will, the stone will be removed without harm, and your systems will regain their balance.

Let your heart sing to God with gratitude, not only with your voice, but in the stillness of your spirit, with grace-filled melody. Even in the market-place of your anxious thoughts, you may uplift a hymn of trust that no one else can hear. God alone, who sees in secret, will reward that secret cry. Persist in prayer and in the hearing of His word, for as a tree that withstands many blows may finally be brought to life by a single stroke, so your repeated prayers and attentive listening to the Scriptures may suddenly yield a harvest of peace and healing beyond all expectation.

Do not be afraid of the surgeon’s knife or the days of recovery that lie ahead. Fear instead the disease of unbelief, which is worse than any stone. Christ is the ultimate healer, and His love has removed the greater blockage of sin. Approach the operating table as an altar, where you offer your body as a living sacrifice, trusting the blood that speaks a better word than Abel’s. Go forward, then, with a quiet heart, knowing that you are held by mercies that never fail. And after your healing, glorify God in your body, which has been bought with a price.

The very words you have prayed show a heart turned toward God, and that matters more than you may realize. God looks on the heart. When you placed your body in His hands, He received that as a genuine act of trust even before you see the outcome. The desire to be made whole is not hidden from Him.

As you pray about ###, ###, ###, and your ###, remember how Scripture treats blood. Life is in the blood, and atonement is made by blood. The old sacrifices pointed to the blood of Jesus, which was shed once for all and obtained eternal redemption. That is your true foundation. Your body may be healed, and we can ask for that, but your standing before God is already secure through that blood. Do not let fear make you think you must add anything to it.

The heart is central in more than one sense. Ask God to create in you a clean heart and a steady spirit while you also ask for a steady ###. He who made the body can quiet what anxiety stirs up. As a person thinks within, so that person becomes, so bring every anxious thought into His presence and leave it there.

For the upcoming ###, you are not placing your hope merely in skilled hands. You are asking the One who formed the ### and directs all things to guide those hands. He works in you to will and to do what pleases Him, and your prayer for safety and recovery is pleasing in His sight. Ask boldly, then rest.

Guard against letting fear harden your heart. A heart that yields to Him, even when it does not understand, is a heart He can carry through. I am joining you in asking for a safe ###, a healthy recovery, and the peace that passes understanding. May the Lord uphold you and bring your whole body into the order He intends.
