What a joy it is to lay every need at the foot of the cross, right where you have placed this one. Jesus is not like a prosecutor trying to build a case against you. He is your faithful representative, the One who says, "Father, forgive them." His voice is not one of accusation but of mercy, always pleading your case with perfect love. So even if the phone feels silent or the days stretch on, there is a conversation happening in heaven that never stops, and its outcome is your complete acceptance.
Think of the open door that Scripture describes, the one set before the faithful that no one can shut. That is the kind of gateway the Lord opens in our circumstances, opportunities and connections that human effort or even human silence cannot block. You are asking for a clear path where there seems to be a closed one, and you are asking the One who holds the key.
Remain soft and pliable in your heart as you wait. The greatest barrier is not usually on the other end of the line but can be a spirit of frustration or anxiety within us. Take one day at a time, trusting the Lord’s timing. His guidance leads to a rest for your soul, a place where your mind is not filled with turmoil.
Pray simply: "Open my eyes, Lord, to see the work you are doing here. Keep my heart open to your voice, so I do not miss your direction by clinging to my own plan." And then rest, knowing that your goodly heritage in Christ gives you every legal right as a child of God, including the promise of His attentive care. The One who opened the prison doors and the grave holds the lines of your life, and He will not fail to complete the good work He has begun.
