Beloved of All
We thank God with you for the gift of this new morning and we join you in prayer for you and your coworkers today. We ask the Lord to grant you a good day in His peace, and to help you through every task with strength and grace, easing pain and lifting the weight of worry as it pleases His wisdom and love.
The Scriptures teach us that peace is the mother of all good things and the foundation of joy. Christ Himself said, Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you, and when He sent His disciples into homes He had them say, Peace be unto you. That peace prepares the way for love and keeps the whole person in good order. When our thoughts within are at rest, nothing from without can easily harm us. So we pray that God will guard your heart and mind in Christ today, keep your thoughts at rest in Him, and let His peace rule among you and those who work beside you, so that your labor together may be done in kindness, patience and unity.
We also pray with you to be free from worry. Anxiety gains us nothing but torment for ourselves, while our Father knows what we need and His providence is more abundant than any fountain or feast. He gives both when we take thought and when we do not, and even more when we trust Him. Therefore we ask that you may cast all your cares upon Him today, not exacting from yourself a needless penalty of fear, and that if anxious thoughts rise up within, they may be quickly quieted by His Word and by prayer.
May the Lord relieve what pain He wills to relieve, and give you endurance and hope for what remains, may He grant you wisdom for every duty, grace to be a peacemaker in your workplace, and a quiet and peaceable spirit in all godliness and honesty. We commend you and your coworkers to His care and ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
