Thank you Lord

Lord Jesus, you are my lighthouse in the rough waters of life. I sometimes get tossed out to the ocean and I look for your beacon calling me to safety.

My friends here are like life boats, picking me up in the storm, and bringing me close to the lighthouse to disembark. I am content, Lord. My heart is filled with joy and thanksgiving for all that you have done in my life, for the friends you have sent me, for the family I have and the family I was born into. For these are what makes me who I am. I thank you that I was born into a family with a loving, caring, christian mom. I thank you that you turned my dad around at the age of 55 and saved him. For I saw the changes and they had a profound effect on my life. I love you, Lord. I live to serve you in spite of all my faults and short comings. I am a sinner saved by grace. I care about your people and I enjoy spending time here; reading their prayers, pondering their situations, lifting them up in prayer and thinking about them throughout the day. I thank you for the life I have. I thank you for the peace I feel. I thank you for the gift of the Holy Spirit. Thank you is not enough but you know my heart. Amen and amen

Praise the Lord!! I praise You Father, for the thankful heart You have given Patti. I thank You for all You have brought her through, for the good times and the difficult times. For each has played a part in who she is today, and in the richness and deep sense of belonging and purpose that she knows in her heart today. I praise You for this kind and helpful soul who has known suffering in her life and who has allowed it to blossom into compassion and empathy for others. Thank you for the gifts of encouragement and exhortation You have given her. Help her to walk close to You every day, never allowing the enemy a foothold in any way, make her like the mighty oak, with roots planted deep in You. In Jesus' precious Holy Name I pray, Amen.
