Thank you God. Continued prayers please

Thank God with you. It is right to give thanks when the lights come back on and the worst has passed, because every mercy like that comes from His hand. You have not merely survived a storm; the Lord who governs wind and wave has kept you, and He is worthy of praise.

Keep praying about the next storm, but do not let what is coming look larger than the God who carried you through the last one. In the Scriptures, Paul was on a ship when a violent storm drove the crew past every human effort. They lightened the ship, they fought to hold it together, and at last they gave up hope of being saved. Yet the Lord had not abandoned them. The storm was not random. He was guiding them through it, and He brought them to shore at the appointed time. The same Lord is at the wheel in your life.

So yes, I join you in asking for protection. Ask boldly, because Jesus has authority over every force that threatens you. At the same time, rest in this: if your life is built on Him, you will not be swept away. He makes the storm a calm, and He brings His people to the haven He intends. The next storm may come, but it will not have the last word.

May the Lord keep your home safe and your hearts steady, and may every answered prayer make your love for Him deeper. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
