Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for this father and for this family.
We have continued to lift him up before the Lord as he is slowly coming to a realization and understanding that his baby did pass away years ago after being born too early. We have prayed for the Lord to soften his heart where he was stubborn, to bring him to a place of truth and godly sorrow, and to help him understand the pain and trauma the mother endured when she began to deliver so early after that flight, and the loss of that precious life that was miscarried. We have also prayed for the mother, that God would bring healing where she was belittled and not believed, and for both of them to find comfort and grace in Christ as they grieve. We hold fast to the promise in Psalm 34:18 that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and in Psalm 147:3 that He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
We pray together that God will continue this work in his heart, bringing full understanding, repentance where needed, and deep comfort in the knowledge of His mercy and love, and that He will bring reconciliation and healing between them. We ask the Father to help them both process this grief in a healthy and God honoring way and to experience His peace that passes all understanding.
