Thank you, ### and I have reconcilled

Beloved of All
Thank you ### and I have reconcilled. Pls pray that our relationship further heals and comes together and that we become better friends. Thank you.

We rejoice with you in this reconciliation and we give thanks to God for His grace in restoring your relationship. God is the author of reconciliation and we are called to reflect His forgiveness toward one another. As it is written, Eph 4:32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you, and Col 3:13 bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any, even as Christ forgave you, so you also do. We see His hand at work when hearts are softened and friendship is renewed. We also remember Prov 17:17 A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity, and Ecc 4:9 Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor, and Rom 12:18 If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men.

We pray that the Lord will continue to heal what has been hurt and deepen a pure and godly friendship between you. We encourage you to build this renewed friendship on Christ, with honesty, grace, clear communication, and boundaries that honor God. If this is a friendship between a man and a woman where there is romantic interest, we pray that you will approach it as courtship with the goal of godly marriage, for marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman that honors God, and any romantic relationship should be between fellow believers in Christ looking toward that covenant. In that context we encourage you to keep yourselves pure and to flee from fornication, which is any sexual intimacy before or outside marriage, and to honor God with your bodies and your hearts. If this is a non-romantic friendship, we pray it remains a chaste and Christ centered friendship that sharpens you both in faith. In either case we pray you will encourage one another daily in the Lord and seek His will together.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus Christ, confessing Him as Lord and believing that God raised Him from the dead, for Rom 10:9 that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is through His name that reconciliation with God and with one another is made possible, as 2 Cor 5:18 reminds us that God reconciled us to himself through Jesus Christ.

We join together in prayer for you.

Father, we thank You for the reconciliation You have already brought about and for Your mercy that makes forgiveness possible. We ask in Jesus name that You would continue Your healing work in both hearts, removing any remaining hurt, bitterness, or misunderstanding, and replacing it with grace, patience, and love. Help them to grow as better friends who speak truth in love, bear with one another, and build each other up in faith. Guard their hearts and keep their relationship pure and pleasing to You. If it is Your will for this relationship to grow toward godly marriage, guide them in wisdom and purity toward that covenant, and if it is to remain a godly friendship, make it a lasting testimony of Your love. Draw them both closer to Jesus Christ and to Your Word, and let Your will be done in their lives. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

We were so encouraged to read your update. Thank you for letting us know that you and ### have reconciled. We rejoice with you in that step, and we understand why you want to see the relationship continue to heal and deepen into a stronger friendship.

Reconciliation is more than a single moment. It is an ongoing, active commitment by both people to restore love and trustworthiness so the relationship can be transformed over time. Friendship grows in a similar steady way, through genuine care, honest sharing of what is on your hearts, and simply spending consistent time together where you can learn to know and trust each other again.

A helpful next step as you move forward is to keep a simple rhythm of connection that you both agree on, whether that is a regular time to talk or to spend time together, and to practice listening well and speaking honestly with kindness. That kind of steady, caring presence allows trust to rebuild without rushing it.

We are praying for you both as you walk this out.

Father, we thank You for the reconciliation You have allowed between these two friends. We ask for Your healing hand on what has been hurt, for patience and grace toward one another, and for wisdom to build a friendship that honors You. Guide their steps and keep them close to You. In Jesus' name, amen.

We give thanks with you that the Lord has granted a measure of healing and brought you together again after estrangement. To see any breach repaired should make us look at once to Him who is the great conduit Head from which abundant streams of healing flow down to men below.

Yet we would have you look higher than the healing of a friendship between yourselves. The Scriptures teach us that the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and that the least thing about Christ is healing. His fruit is sweet and nourishing, but even His leaves, the little things as it were about Him, are full of healing virtue. That healing, however, is never separate from pardon. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you. Pardon and healing were one. The Lord has committed unto us the word of reconciliation, not merely to make friends with one another, but to be reconciled to God, for He is the God of peace and has prepared everything that is necessary for a perfect reconciliation through the blood of His Son.

We think also of Peter, whose restoration we love to remember. He was down, but he was soon up again, not by his own resolve, but by a look from the Lord which severed him from the crowd and brought him to repentance. Till Peter had received from the Lord's own mouth abundant assurance of his restoration, we do not find him again in the forefront. So it is with us. If we have wandered, we may get such a restoration from the Lord Himself that we may become better Christians ever afterwards. That is our prayer for you both.

You ask that you may become better friends. There is a friendship which Christ Himself commends, when He says, Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. There cannot be friendship with Christ if it is all on one side, and persons can hardly maintain true friendship with one another if they do not walk together in communion with Him. Obedience is an essential of true friendship to Christ, and those who profess friendship and do not what He commands forsake the very ground of lasting fellowship. A friendship that would endure and be truly healing must be a friendship in Christ, marked by truth, purity and holiness before God.

So we will pray for you, not that God would simply bless whatever path you may choose, but that He would bless you by making you whole in Christ and leading you in His perfect will. We pray that each of you may know first forgiveness and then healing through Jesus Christ alone, that the healing virtue of His grace may work in you till you are conformed to His image. We pray that He would search your hearts, forgive what needs forgiveness, and teach you to walk in that way which is pleasing to Him, whether as brother and sister in the Lord, or, if it be His will, as husband and wife joined in that lifelong covenant of one man and one woman which He ordained from the beginning, keeping yourselves pure and apart from all that would grieve Him. Sex and living together belong within that covenant alone, and outside it true love will choose reverence and restraint for the good of the other and the glory of God.

May the Sun of Righteousness rise upon you both with healing in His wings. May you tell out your hearts to Jesus and reveal yourselves to one another in honest, holy communion, helping one another to do whatsoever He commands. This is the friendship that will not wither, for his leaf also shall not wither who is planted by the river of grace.

We commend you to the Lord who alone can heal the broken heart and bind up its wounds, that you may know pardon and healing together, and that your friendship may be made strong by being first grounded in friendship with Christ.

Amen.
