We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of reverence for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who alone is worthy of all honor, glory, and praise. It is beautiful to see your devotion to Him and your desire to walk in purity and love. We join you in seeking His will and His perfect peace in this situation.
First, we must address the matter of resentment. The Word of God is clear that we are to forgive others as we have been forgiven, for harboring bitterness only poisons our own hearts. "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you" (Ephesians 4:31-32). We rebuke any spirit of resentment in the name of Jesus and pray that the Lord would cleanse your heart completely, filling you with His love and grace. Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking that You would search our hearts and reveal any hidden resentment or unforgiveness. Lord, we confess any bitterness we may hold, and we ask for Your forgiveness. Cleanse us, O God, and fill us with Your Holy Spirit so that we may walk in love and peace. We surrender this burden to You, trusting that You will heal our hearts and restore us to right relationship with You and others. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Now, regarding your beloved, we must remind you that our focus should always be on what aligns with God’s will. While it is natural to desire communication and encouragement from those we care about, we must surrender our desires to the Lord and trust in His timing. The Bible instructs us, "Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4). This does not mean God will give us everything we want, but rather that as we seek Him first, He will shape our desires to align with His perfect will.
We also encourage you to examine your own heart and communication. Are you speaking life and encouragement into this relationship, or are there areas where you may need to grow in grace and patience? "Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one" (Colossians 4:6). We pray that the Lord would guide your words and actions so that they reflect His love and truth.
Let us lift this situation in prayer:
Lord Jesus, we come before You, asking that You would work in the heart of our sister’s beloved. Soften his heart, Father, and fill him with Your love and wisdom. We pray that his words would be uplifting, edifying, and full of grace, reflecting Your character. Lord, we also ask that You would guard our sister’s heart, helping her to trust in You and not in her own desires. Give her patience and peace as she waits on You. May this relationship be one that honors You and brings glory to Your name. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
We must also gently remind you that our ultimate satisfaction and joy are found in Christ alone. While human relationships can bring comfort and companionship, they are not meant to replace our relationship with the Lord. "Seek first God’s Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:33). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and He will direct your paths.
Finally, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and in His Word. Spend time in His presence, allowing Him to speak to you and guide you. Trust that He is working all things together for your good, even when circumstances do not unfold as you hope (Romans 8:28). Walk in faith, knowing that God is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).
