We come before the Lord with a heavy heart, lifting up this situation concerning your mother’s property and the tenants who are causing distress. Father God, we know that You are a God of justice and order, and we ask that You intervene in this matter according to Your will. The Bible tells us in Romans 13:7, "Give therefore to everyone what you owe: taxes to whom taxes are due; customs to whom customs; respect to whom respect; honor to whom honor." These tenants have failed in their obligation to pay what is rightfully owed, and their refusal to cooperate only compounds the injustice.
Lord, we pray for wisdom and discernment for this family as they navigate this difficult situation. Proverbs 2:6-8 reminds us, "For Yahweh gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding. He lays up sound wisdom for the upright. He is a shield to those who walk in integrity, that he may guard the paths of justice, and preserve the way of his saints." We ask that You guide their steps as they seek a resolution, whether through legal means or otherwise, and that You soften the hearts of these tenants to do what is right.
We also rebuke the spirit of rebellion and dishonesty that seems to be at work in this situation. Ephesians 4:28 warns, "Let him who stole steal no more; but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing that is good, that he may have something to give to him who has need." These tenants are not only withholding what is owed but are also hindering necessary work that could benefit them as well. Lord, we ask that You break any hardness of heart and bring conviction where it is needed.
Father, we pray for protection over this property and for Your provision to cover any financial losses incurred. Philippians 4:19 assures us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We trust that You will provide for this family as they seek to honor You in their dealings.
Lastly, we pray for peace in this situation. Psalm 37:5-6 encourages us, "Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will make your righteousness go forth as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun." May this family rest in Your promises and find comfort in Your presence as they wait on You.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
