We have read your words and we hear the deep ache and weariness behind them, the feeling that life is fragile and that everything precious can be gone in a moment, and the loneliness of feeling that no one truly knows your story. We want you to know that you are not unseen and you are not alone, even when it feels that way.
What you have expressed about the suddenness of loss is true in this fallen world. Scripture tells us James 4:14 that our life is a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away, and 1 Peter 1:24-25 reminds us that all flesh is like grass and its glory like the flower of grass, the grass withers and the flower falls but the word of the Lord endures forever. Everything in this life can indeed shift in a blink, but that is why we are called to build our hope not on what can disappear but on what can never be taken away.
We gently rebuke the lie that no one knows your story, because God knows it fully and intimately. Psalm 139:1-4 says Yahweh, you have searched me, and you know me, you know my sitting down and my rising up, you perceive my thoughts from afar, you search out my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways, for there is not a word on my tongue but behold, Yahweh, you know it altogether. Psalm 56:8 tells us that you keep track of all our wanderings and put our tears in your bottle, they are in your record. Even the very hairs of your head are all numbered Matthew 10:30. You may feel unknown by people, but you are fully known and deeply loved by your Creator, and He has not forgotten you. Hebrews 13:5 promises I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you, and Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.
We also noticed that your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and find lasting hope when everything else feels unstable. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved. If you have not yet placed your trust in Him, we encourage you to believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died for your sins and rose again, and to confess Him as Lord, for Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. He is the one who can give your story meaning, redemption, and an eternal future that will not disappear.
We lift you up together in prayer. Father, we bring ### before you in the name of Jesus and ask for your mercy and nearness to surround him. You know his story from beginning to end, every joy and every wound, every loss and every lonely night. We ask that you reveal yourself to him as the God who sees, who keeps his tears, and who never leaves. When he feels that everything he loves could vanish, anchor his heart in your unfailing love that endures forever. Comfort his brokenness, lift the weight of feeling unknown, and help him to cast all his anxiety on you because you care for him 1 Peter 5:7. Draw him to Jesus, the only hope of salvation, and give him faith to trust in your Son and to find peace that passes understanding. Lead him to fellowship with believers who will know him and walk with him, and give him strength for each day and hope for eternity. We seek your will for his life and pray that his story would become a testimony of your grace and restoration. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

It is a heavy and true word you have uttered, that all we love in this life may be spoiled in the blink of an eye. Scripture speaks of this sudden spoiling, as when an earthquake all of a sudden overthrows a city, so adversity shakes the estate of mortals. Sometimes it is property, sometimes earthly comfort, sometimes one dear to us, and sometimes life itself, and the Holy Spirit would have us learn from this instability to despise the things which are seen and temporal and to follow after the things unseen and eternal.
In such a moment it is a bitter grief to feel that no one knows your story and to be left alone just when most you need human sympathy. There is One who has known that loneliness to its depth. Our Lord Jesus was left alone by those nearest to Him. They could not watch with Him one hour while His soul was exceedingly sorrowful even unto death, and at last that marred countenance bore the tokens of inward grief and that cry was heard, My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me, when He stood in the sinner's place as Sin Bearer and Sacrifice. He understands the sorrow of being forsaken and the deep soul conflict when faith must fight for very existence. You may not be able to measure the Atlantic waves of your grief, but He can, and though no man on earth knows your story fully, He knows it altogether.
What shall it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul, for the soul is capable of heaven and its loss is a dreadful thing. Apart from the grace of God to restrain and to save, all earthly gain is a dead loss. But salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and unless the Lord Jesus graciously meets with you and you are caused to believe on Him, there is no lasting hope. May He do so for you even now, all of a sudden, and give you a portion that can never be taken away.
We desire to bear your burden with you and so fulfill the law of Christ, and we will pray that the Lord will draw near to you in this sorrow, that He will reveal His love to your soul, that He will give you faith to cast your grief upon Him, and that you may come to know in Him a peace and a comfort which sudden trial cannot spoil and which abides unto eternal life.

The pain in your words is heard, and the sense that everything you love can vanish so quickly is a heavy burden to carry alone. When you say no one knows your story, it can feel as if your grief is unseen, and that isolation makes the sorrow even deeper.
You are not alone in having such grief. Many have their own sorrows at home, and we share in one another's sorrows even when we do not share the same cause. There is no one who is free from trouble in this present life, and the feeling that all is uncertain and passing is one that many hearts have known.
God does know your story, even when others do not. Jesus Christ Himself showed that He truly took on our nature. When He stood before the tomb of His friend with a great multitude around Him, He wept in silence and was troubled, and He groaned in spirit and restrained His trouble. The Gospel records this carefully so that we may learn that He is not distant from our grief, but has felt it and understands it. He did not hide His human feeling, and He still draws near to those who mourn.
There is a grief that crushes and a grief that heals. To weep only as if there were no hope leaves the heart exhausted, but to bring tears before God can become the seed of joy. Tears shed before Him, and sorrow that turns us toward Him, can become the beginning of comfort and of turning away from what harms us, so that we do not pass by our own needs unwept. This life is short and transitory, and the affliction we endure here, when entrusted to Him, can prepare us for the rest that does not end.
We pray for you now, that the merciful God who sees what is hidden would comfort you, give you strength to bear this season, and lift the weight of feeling unknown. We ask that He would draw you closer to salvation through Jesus Christ alone, who alone is our hope, and that He would show you His care and give you people near you with whom you can safely share your story. If the sense of loss feels overwhelming, please reach out to a trusted pastor, a faithful believer near you, or a counselor who can walk with you and listen.
May He change this piercing sorrow into a hope that looks to Him, and may you find that even as earthly things pass quickly, His love remains and His presence is near to you.
