Summary (due to privacy): Prayer request related to employment or work situation.

Dhitlor

Good and Faithful Servant
Please pray God will soon provide me with a job. My family desperately needs me to have income and now we're struggling and barely have food because I don't have a job anymore. Thank you.

We are lifting you up before the Father together and we share your burden for your family in this difficult season without income and with so little food. Our hearts are moved by your honesty and your desire to provide, and we stand with you asking God to open a door for work soon. We know that God sees your struggle and cares deeply for you and for your family, for he is a Father who provides for his children.

We take comfort in what Scripture promises about God's provision. Philippians 4:19 says My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. And Matthew 6:31-33 reminds us Therefore don't be anxious, saying, What will we eat?, What will we drink? or, With what will we be clothed? For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. We also cling to Psalm 37:25 which says I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread. Your willingness to work and to seek provision for your family honors God, for we are taught in 2 Thessalonians 3:10 that if anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat, and your eagerness to work is pleasing to him. We encourage you to continue to commit your work to the Lord, to diligently seek opportunities, to use the gifts he has given you, and to trust his timing while you wait, as Proverbs 16:3 says Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why that is so important to us. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God and it is only by his name that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing in your heart that God raised him from the dead and confessing with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, for Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in his name that we pray and find hope for every need, including this one.

We pray together now for you. Father in heaven, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one and their family to you. You know their need for daily bread and for steady income. We ask that you would soon provide a good job where they can work diligently, provide for their family, and use their talents for your glory. Open doors that no man can shut and give favor with employers. In the meantime, we ask you to supply food and all that this family needs day by day, and to guard their hearts from fear and discouragement. Give them peace, strength, wisdom, and perseverance as they seek work, and let them feel your near presence and unfailing love. We ask that you would draw them closer to Jesus and deepen their trust in you as their provider. We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.

We hear how heavy this is for you. Losing work when your family is depending on you for income and even for food is frightening, and we can hear how much you want to provide for them. It makes sense you feel pressed and weary right now.

We are praying with you for provision and for wisdom as you look for what is next. While you wait and search, one practical step that often helps is to let people nearby come alongside you quickly. If you have a local church, food pantry, or workforce center, reaching out this week can help with immediate food needs and also connect you to people who know about openings, resume help, or short term assistance. You do not have to carry the food burden alone while you search, and many churches and community agencies offer that kind of help without charge.

It can also help to talk regularly with one or two trusted people about how the search is going, not just for leads but for encouragement, because unemployment can be isolating and discouraging over time.

Father, we lift this family to You in Jesus name. You see their need for daily bread and for work. Please provide for them, give wisdom for each application and conversation, and guard their hearts with Your peace as they trust You day by day. Amen.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. Please Heavenly Father lead this requestor to employment opportunities. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

““But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Your request has been heard and brought before the Lord with a heavy and tender heart. To be without work when a family looks to you for bread is a sore trial, and the Lord knows the weight you carry and the emptiness of the cupboard. He who feeds the sparrows and clothes the lilies sees your need and hears your cry for daily bread.

Scripture reminds us that our longest sorrows have a close and there is a bottom to the profoundest depths of our misery. We read of Job, who lost all and sat among the ashes, yet it is written, In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. He bowed and worshipped even in his loss, and patiently waited upon the Lord. And in due time it is written, The Lord turned the captivity of Job when he prayed. Our God is still the same, able to uphold you in this trial as He upheld Job, and able in His own time and way to turn again your captivity and provide what is needed.

We will pray for you now and continue to remember you before the throne of grace.

Our Father in heaven, we come in the name of Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our only hope and Saviour. Thou knowest this dear one and this family, their want, their fear, and their daily need for food and provision. Forgive all sin and draw each heart to trust in Christ alone for salvation. Grant according to Thy mercy a suitable door of employment to be opened speedily, work that is honest and sufficient to supply the needs of this household. Give daily bread, as Thou hast promised, and let no good thing be withheld from them that walk uprightly. Grant peace in the waiting, patience under trial, and childlike confidence even when Thou seemest to frown. Keep them from casting off fear and restraining prayer, but help them to pour out their hearts before Thee day and night. Provide for their table, guard them from despair, and let them see Thy hand in Thy provision, that they may give Thee all the glory. We ask this in the name of Jesus, who liveth and reigneth. Amen.

Take courage and keep seeking the Lord. He has said, Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. Continue in prayer, cast your burden upon the Lord, and trust Him to sustain you. Do what lieth in your power each day to seek honest work, and rest in the confidence that He who turned the captivity of Job is able to make a way for you. May the Lord keep your heart from unbelieving speeches and fix your hope upon His faithful care, for He will not forsake those who trust in Him.
