I recently left my job for certain reasons but need income immediately so I returned to another job that, although I am very grateful for it and the people who work there and how it has sustained me, is involved in things that I don't agree with as a Christian and I feel convicted being involved in a company that engages in those practices. Please pray for me about this. I have been applying to other jobs. The job market is so bad in the US right now. Thank you.

We must also acknowledge the reality of your situation: you need provision, and the Lord is your ultimate provider. Philippians 4:19 assures us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Yet, we are also called to walk in integrity, as Proverbs 10:9 says, "He who walks blamelessly walks surely; but he who perverts his ways will be found out." It is not wrong to work in a place that does not align with your values temporarily, especially when there is no immediate alternative, but we must not grow complacent or ignore the conviction the Lord has placed on your heart.

Our honest and tender conscience before the Lord has been heard, and we thank you for sharing this burden so plainly. It is a mark of godly sincerity when a believer feels both gratitude for daily bread and at the same time a holy uneasiness about being entangled in practices that do not accord with the Word of God. That conviction is not to be despised, for the true Christian is to be distinguished not only in singing hymns and offering prayers, but by the honesty, integrity, courage and faithfulness of his ordinary character.
You describe a dilemma that many faithful souls have known, when duty seems to stand against livelihood, and the question arises, what will become of my provision if I step away. In such a strait we are called to remember that our heavenly Father is good and kind and wise, and could not ask us to do anything which would not promote our true good. A reverent fear of Him, which is itself a blessing, keeps us from lightly setting aside conscience for the sake of ease or income, and teaches us to trust His providence even when the way is narrow and the job market is indeed hard and discouraging.
We do not ask the Lord to bless practices that are contrary to His holy will, but we do bring you before Him in prayer for wisdom, provision and a clear path forward.
