Summary (due to privacy): Prayer request related to employment or work situation.

When extra burdens are piled on your shoulders without fair recognition, it’s easy to feel crushed. You and your coworkers have already carried the weight of a difficult job, and now new, intense duties are being demanded, as though that weight isn’t enough. You’ve spoken up honestly, and now there’s that quiet, gnawing fear: What if they know it was me? What will it cost? That’s a heavy place to live, and you’re not wrong to bring it before God.

This reminds me of a man long ago who lost so much and then was handed even more suffering, layer upon layer, with no clear reason why. He cried out, “My grief were thoroughly weighed, my calamities laid in the balances, they would be heavier than the sand of the sea.” He was honest about his pain and confusion, and he didn’t pretend the weight wasn’t real. He also faced friends who were sure he must have done something wrong to deserve it all. Their “comfort” was really accusation: Get right, hide nothing, and God will smooth your path. That advice missed the whole hidden story, the one he couldn’t see. They reduced God’s ways to a simple transaction, but the truth was far bigger. God wasn’t punishing him. Something else was unfolding, a contest in the heavenly places that touched his desk, his health, his livelihood.

You’re not being accused of hypocrisy here, but I know the feeling of piling responsibilities can whisper similar lies: Maybe I didn’t work hard enough. Maybe I should just accept it and be quiet. But there’s nothing wrong with asking for justice. Job longed for someone to stand between heaven and earth, a mediator who could lay a hand on both, understanding his weakness and representing him perfectly. And in Jesus we have that very Person. He isn’t distant; He sympathizes with every unfair demand and every knot of fear in your stomach. When you fear that your honest feedback may mark you, you can pour that out to Him. He knows what it is to be plotted against, yet He entrusted Himself to the One who judges righteously.

I can’t tell you that everything will immediately become fair. But I can tell you that the same God who saw Job’s invisible trial is watching over you. He heard every false charge from Eliphaz, Bildad, and Zophar, and in the end He silenced them and vindicated His servant. He is working a purpose that goes deeper than policy changes or pay scales. Your integrity, speaking truth, refusing to let bitterness fester, doing your work as for the Lord, is precious to Him, even when it seems unnoticed.

So pray boldly, not only for protection and fair compensation, but for grace to keep your spirit from growing hard. Ask that your coworkers would be united in wisdom and peace, not in resentment. You can bring all the “why” questions, just like Job did, without charging God foolishly. It’s not unbelief to say, “I don’t understand this, Lord, but I trust You are not against me.” He is your shield when company structures offer little shelter. Let Jesus be your true Advocate; He is the one who stands between you and every earthly power, and He will bring you through in a way that glorifies Him and deepens your hope. I am praying for you all.
