Summary (due to privacy): Prayer request related to employment or work situation.

We come before the Lord with hearts full of faith, lifting up this situation regarding employment. Father God, we know that You are the Provider of all good things, and every opportunity comes from Your hand. We ask that You would open the doors You have ordained for , granting favor in the eyes of those making the decision. May Your will be done in this matter, for we trust that You have a perfect plan for his life and work.

Scripture reminds us in Proverbs 16:3, "Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed." We pray that has committed this interview and his career to You, seeking Your guidance in every step. Lord, grant him peace and confidence, knowing that You are in control. If this position is Your will, we ask that You would make it clear and bring it to pass. If it is not, we trust that You have something even better prepared.

We also encourage to continue seeking You in all things, for You promise in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." May he find his worth and identity in You, not in his employment status, and may he walk in the purpose You have for him.

Father, we rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or discouragement that may be trying to take hold in this situation. We declare that is more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus, and no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Romans 8:37, Isaiah 54:17). Strengthen his faith and remind him that You are working all things together for his good (Romans 8:28).

Lord, we pray that You would bless with wisdom, diligence, and integrity in his work, whatever the outcome of this interview may be. May he be a light in his workplace, reflecting Your love and truth to those around him. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is only through Him that we have access to You. Amen.

We're joining you in prayer for this interview. Waiting after an interview can be a heavy stretch, replaying answers, wondering what the panel saw, and bracing for news. It helps to remember that God's care for us isn't measured by any single open door or closed one. He goes with into every room, and he stays near in the waiting room afterward, too.

One practical thing you might do is quietly remind that his worth isn't hanging on this outcome. If the job is meant to be, no detail will keep it from him; if it passes by, it doesn't mean God has forgotten him, sometimes a closed door is protection we don't yet see. Let him rest in having done his honest best, and then try to leave the rest with the Lord. That doesn't erase the nerves, but it can settle the heart a little.

We're praying now:

Father, thank you that you see and know every pressure he feels. Please give him steady peace while he waits. If it is your will, let the interviewers look on him with favor and open this job for his good and your glory. But above all, guide him where you want him, and guard him from discouragement if the answer is no. Surround him with people who speak hope and truth, and let him sense your companionship in every ordinary hour between now and the decision. In Jesus' name, amen.

How readily we unite in prayer for this dear brother who seeks employment. The Lord is no stranger to our daily needs, and it is a great mercy that we may cast every care upon Him, for He careth for us. We will entreat the throne of grace that, if it be according to His perfect will, this interview might prosper and the door of provision be opened. Yet, beloved, remember the sure word: “The Lord turned again the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends.” So let us pray not only for a favorable outcome, but for this soul to be kept in perfect peace, stayed upon Jehovah, whatever the answer may be. Our God is the shelter of His people; when the yoke was heavy in Egypt, they cried unto Him and He delivered them. Even now, underneath are the everlasting arms.

Do not set your heart too firmly upon the fleeting things of this world, for the glory of man is but as a coinage of ice, melting before it is counted. If the Lord opens this door, go through it with gratitude; if He closes it, trust that He has a better way. The God of your mercy shall prevent you. We have seen many a child of God brought low and then lifted up, and their latter end blessed with a double portion when they waited upon Him. The sweet savor of Christ’s accepted sacrifice assures us that we are received in the Beloved, and therefore all our concerns are under the wise ordering of a loving Father. Let this be a time for renewed confidence, not in your own skill, but in Him who giveth power to get wealth, and who can make a man’s way plain in the teeth of every adversary.

We shall continue in prayer, that even as Job grieved for the poor, so this brother may find faithful sympathy and heaven’s supply. Go forward in quietness and in faith; you have not to do with a hard taskmaster, but with a generous Master who loadeth His servants with benefits.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You ask prayer for this man to win the interview he attended. But let us be careful what we seek. To “win” an interview sounds as if we desire a judge to show partiality or to set aside justice in his favor. Do not pray that the scales be tipped by human favor, but that God’s will be done and that this man’s soul may profit whatever the outcome. No employer can truly harm him if he is armed with virtue. Even if he does not obtain the post, the disappointment, borne with patience, becomes a step toward an imperishable crown. Let him give place to anxiety and leave the result in God’s hands, for the Lord Himself will be his provider and defender. What we need is not a particular job but an excellent soul, which will escort us safe through every trial and into the Kingdom. Pray then that he fear God and hold fast to righteousness, and trust that he will be heard because of that reverence. Labor for the bread that endures, and all these things shall be added as the Lord sees best.

It's natural to hope for a successful outcome after an interview. You’ve done your part, and now the waiting can feel heavy. The book of Job reminds us how easy it is to misunderstand what God is doing in our lives. Job’s friends assumed that outward success equaled righteousness and that suffering must mean hidden sin. They urged Job to just get right with God, as if that would instantly fix everything. But they were wrong. Job’s story shows that our circumstances aren’t a simple scorecard of God’s pleasure with us.

God allowed Job to be tested, not because Job was a hypocrite, but precisely because God knew his heart. The enemy argued that Job only served God for the blessings, but God knew better. Through the refining fire, Job’s faith was purified, and he came to see God more clearly than ever before. He stopped trying to justify himself and rested in the One who knows the way he takes.

So whatever answer comes from this interview, your worth and God’s love for you are not hanging in the balance. If you get the job, it will not be because you performed perfectly; if you don’t, it isn’t a punishment. God’s plans are higher, and His timing is often mysterious. He may be using this season of waiting to deepen your trust, to strip away self-reliance, and to teach you what Job learned: that when all else is stripped away, God Himself is enough.

Bring your request before Him, yes, but also ask Him to shape your heart so that you’re ready for whatever answer He gives. Pray to see His hand even if things don’t go the way you hope. And rest in this: He who laid the foundation of the earth and guides the constellations holds your life, too. Nothing about this situation escapes Him. He tends your story with the same wisdom that restored Job’s latter days beyond his former ones.

I’ll be praying for you, not only for the interview result, but for peace that surpasses understanding, and for the kind of faith that can say with Job, “When he has tried me, I shall come forth as gold.”
