Summary (due to privacy): Prayer request related to employment or work situation.

Dhitlor

Faithful Servant
Please pray that God would provide me with a job/source of income urgently. There is something important I need money for next month which I was supposed to save up for with my job but I quit after concerns arose (and I will admit, I don't know if I made the right choice and I am begging God for His mercy in providing me with a new job soon if I was wrong to quit the other one). I have an interview for a job but I'm concerned that the start date is too late and also that the training for it (which must be 100% attended) will interfere with my being able to attend the thing I am saving up for which will last three days. Please pray it will go well if this job is where God wants me to be. Otherwise, please pray that God will provide me with a job soon. All the jobs I'm applying to now seem to have late starts. Please pray that God would provide me with one that will start soon or provide me with a way to earn side income until the job starts. Please also pray that God will provide me with a way to earn side income either way with or without a job in view. Please also pray for me about depression because I've been very depressed the past few weeks. Pray this won't show up in my interview. Thank you.

We hear your heart in this time of uncertainty and financial need, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting this situation before our Heavenly Father. First, we want to remind you that God is your Provider—Jehovah Jireh—and He sees your need even before you ask. The Scriptures assure us, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:19). This promise is not based on your circumstances but on His faithfulness.

We also want to gently address the weight of guilt and doubt you carry about quitting your previous job. It’s natural to second-guess decisions, but we encourage you to release that burden to the Lord. *"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him"* (James 1:5). Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal whether that choice was aligned with His will or if He is redirecting you for a reason. Either way, He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28), even when the path isn’t clear.

For the job interview you have coming up, we pray that the Lord would go before you and prepare the hearts of those who will meet with you. *"Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established"* (Proverbs 16:3). May He grant you favor, wisdom, and peace as you present yourself, and may any anxiety or depression be lifted so that your confidence in Him shines through. If this job is not His best for you, we trust He will close the door gently and open another that fits His timing and provision. If it *is* His will, we pray He would adjust the start date or training schedule to align with your other commitments, for *"with God all things are possible"* (Matthew 19:26).

We also lift up your need for immediate income. The Lord often provides in unexpected ways—through side work, temporary opportunities, or even the generosity of others. *"The young lions do lack and suffer hunger, but those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing"* (Psalm 34:10). Ask Him to open doors for short-term work or creative solutions, and be faithful to seek opportunities while trusting in His provision.

For the depression you’ve been battling, we want to remind you that your worth is not defined by your employment status or financial situation. You are deeply loved by the Creator of the universe, who calls you His own. *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). We pray that He would lift the heaviness from your heart, fill you with His peace, and remind you of His presence in this season. Consider reaching out to a trusted believer for prayer and encouragement—you do not have to walk this alone.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You as Your children, lifting up this dear one who is in need of Your provision, wisdom, and comfort. Lord, You know the urgency of their situation, and we trust that You are already at work. We ask that You would open the right door for employment—one that honors You, meets their needs, and aligns with Your timing. If the job they’ve interviewed for is Your will, soften the hearts of the employers, adjust the start date if needed, and grant favor in training. If it is not, close that door and lead them to something better.

Father, we also ask that You would provide side income or temporary work to bridge the gap until their next job begins. Give them creativity, energy, and opportunities to earn what they need. Forgive any doubt or fear that has crept in, and replace it with trust in Your promises. Heal their heart from depression, Lord, and fill them with Your joy and peace. Remind them that their value is found in You alone, not in their circumstances.

We rebuke any spirit of anxiety or despair that seeks to weigh them down, and we declare that You are their Provider, their Strength, and their Hope. May they feel Your presence in this season, and may their testimony of Your faithfulness shine brightly to others. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Hold fast to the truth that God is not surprised by your needs, and He is never late. Keep seeking Him, keep applying for work, and keep your heart open to His leading. He is faithful, and He will not abandon you. *"Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never permit the righteous to be moved"* (Psalm 55:22). You are not forgotten.

We're right here with you, friend, standing in faith for your urgent need. We've been praying, and we want to encourage you with some more Scriptures. Remember, God sees you, He knows your need, and He's already at work. In Matthew 6:25-26, Jesus says, "Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." Trust that He's got this, and keep seeking Him first.

We also want to remind you of the promise in Philippians 4:19, "And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." God is your Provider, and He's more than able to meet your needs. Keep asking, keep seeking, and keep knocking (Matthew 7:7-8).

For the interview coming up, we pray that God would give you peace, wisdom, and favor. We ask that He would open the right door, and if it's not His will, we trust that He'll close it gently and open another that's better. We also pray that any anxiety or depression would lift, and that your confidence in Him would shine through.

We're also lifting up your need for immediate income. We believe that God will provide in unexpected ways, so we ask that He would open doors for temporary work or creative solutions. Keep your eyes open for opportunities, and trust that He's got this.

Lastly, we want to remind you of your worth in God's eyes. You are deeply loved, and your value is not defined by your circumstances. In Psalm 139:13-14, it says, "For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well." You are fearfully and wonderfully made, and God loves you just the way you are.

Let's keep praying together, shall we?

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
