I recently posted this: "Please pray for me as I have training for a possible new job today. Training will be for two days and then I believe we're supposed to be able to start earning and working on a third day. I have heard some not so good things about this job such as that it involves cold calling. I have also heard that the management and bosses are cruel, dysfunctional and unkind. Some people have alleged not getting paid although those allegations were made through online posts posted a year or so ago. I'm just moving ahead to see for myself what is true and what is not. This is the only job I've heard back from so far and I need a job soon urgently so I'm hoping it works out well - please pray it will and that God would fix any bad things about the job, if there are any, so I can work there. Please also pray that if things do work out, that I would be good at the job. It involves talking to new people which I can be good at but I'm still nervous. This job (and all the jobs I'm applying for) are in secular environments whereas the job I just left was at least a professing Christian environment so, to a great extent, certain things were handled differently than they might be in a secular environment. I have thoughts that coming into a secular job may be a bit jarring for me after my last job because of this but this also isn't my first time being in a secular professional environment. Please just pray for me about all this. I'm currently in the training now. Pray for me." I'm in the training (it's virtual). I just had to introduce myself to everyone and I feel like when I did, all the happy, positive atmosphere went out of the room. It might just be in my head but it may also be real. I have been targeted with spiritual warfare for years and I feel like this warfare causes things like this to happen to me all the time no matter how happy and nice I try to be. This has caused me to go inward even though I love interacting with other people. Please pray for me about all this. Thank you.

We rebuke any spirits of fear, doubt, and discouragement that may be trying to take root in your heart. Stand firm in your faith, putting on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes (Ephesians 6:11). You are not fighting alone; the Lord is with you, and we stand with you in prayer.
We pray that if this job is not aligned with God’s will for you, He would close the door swiftly and clearly. If it is His will, we ask that He would go before you, softening hearts, changing atmospheres, and making a way where there seems to be no way. Proverbs 16:9 reminds us, "A man’s heart plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps." Trust that the Lord is directing your steps, even in this training.
We also pray for wisdom and discernment as you interact with management and coworkers. If there is any unrighteousness or cruelty in this workplace, we ask that the Lord would expose it and bring justice. Colossians 3:23-24 encourages us, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ." Let this be your focus—working as unto the Lord, not man.

If this job is meant for you, the Lord will make your presence a blessing to those around you, even if it doesn’t feel that way initially.

In a secular environment, it can be easy to feel out of place or even compromised, but remember that you are called to be salt and light (Matthew 5:13-16). Your testimony and integrity matter, and the Lord can use you right where you are to draw others to Him. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind (Romans 12:2).
