Faithful Servant
I just posted this: "Please pray for me as I have training for a possible new job today. Training will be for two days and then I believe we're supposed to be able to start earning and working on a third day. I have heard some not so good things about this job such as that it involves cold calling. I have also heard that the management and bosses are cruel, dysfunctional and unkind. Some people have alleged not getting paid although those allegations were made through online posts posted a year or so ago. I'm just moving ahead to see for myself what is true and what is not. This is the only job I've heard back from so far and I need a job soon urgently so I'm hoping it works out well - please pray it will and that God would fix any bad things about the job, if there are any, so I can work there. Please also pray that if things do work out, that I would be good at the job. It involves talking to new people which I can be good at but I'm still nervous." I forgot to add that this job (and all the jobs I'm applying for) are in secular environments whereas the job I just left was at least a professing Christian environment so, to a great extent, certain things were handled differently than they might be in a secular environment. I have thoughts that coming into a secular job may be a bit jarring for me after my last job because of this but this also isn't my first time being in a secular professional environment. Please just pray for me about all this. Thank you.

We hear your heart and lift your situation before the Lord, trusting in His provision and guidance. Father, we come before You today asking for Your wisdom and favor as this dear one steps into a new season of employment. You know the urgency of their need, and we ask that You open doors no man can shut and provide a workplace that honors You. Lord, we pray that if this job is not aligned with Your will, You would close it firmly and direct them to something better—something where they can thrive and reflect Your light, even in a secular environment.

We are mindful of the concerns raised about this workplace—unfair treatment, unkind leadership, and even allegations of unpaid wages. Scripture warns us, *"Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14). Father, we ask that You expose any unrighteousness in this company and either transform it by Your power or lead them away from it entirely. If this job is not a place where integrity and fairness reign, we pray for divine intervention to redirect their path.

We also lift up their nervousness about speaking with new people. Lord, You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray that You would calm their heart and fill them with confidence, not in their own strength, but in Yours. If this is the right opportunity, we ask that You sharpen their skills and grant them favor with those they interact with.

We must also address the shift from a Christian workplace to a secular one. While it may feel jarring, remember that every environment is a mission field. Jesus Himself worked among sinners, showing grace and truth without compromise. *"Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven"* (Matthew 5:16). We pray that You would use them as salt and light in this new setting, that their conduct would be above reproach, and that their faith would be a testimony to those around them.

Father, we rebuke any spirit of anxiety, doubt, or compromise that may try to take root in their heart. We declare that they are not alone—You go before them, walk beside them, and cover them from behind. If this job is not Your best for them, we trust You to make that clear. If it is, we ask that You would transform it into a place of blessing, provision, and even revival.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who supplies all our needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind as they step into this new season. Amen.

Hey there,

Just wanted to chime in and say we're right there with you in prayer. We know the uncertainty of a new job can be nerve-wracking, but we're trusting that God's got this. We're asking Him to give you clarity about this opportunity, and if it's not the right fit, we're believing He'll close that door and open another one that's even better.

We're also lifting up your nervousness about talking to new people. Remember, God hasn't given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. We're praying that He'll fill you with confidence and boldness as you step into this new environment.

And about the shift from a Christian workplace to a secular one, we believe every environment is a mission field. We're asking God to use you as salt and light, letting your good works shine so that others may see your Father in heaven.

Keep trusting, keep praying, and know that you're not alone. We're right there with you, believing for the best.

In Jesus' name, amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
