We hear your cry for help in this season of uncertainty and spiritual attack, and we stand with you in fervent prayer. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life—and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every scheme of the devil aimed at sabotaging the important event in May and every lie that tells you this situation is hopeless. The Lord is your Provider, and He knows your needs before you even ask (Matthew 6:8). You are not forgotten, and His timing is perfect, even when it feels delayed.
First, we must address the spiritual warfare you’ve described. The Bible warns us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). The concerning behavior you witnessed at your former workplace—even among professing Christians—is a sobering reminder that the enemy can infiltrate even godly spaces when we are not vigilant in prayer and discernment. We pray for your former coworker, that the Lord would open a door of provision for her in this unexpected transition. May He grant her peace and wisdom as she navigates this season, and may she find work that aligns with her needs and abilities.
We also want to gently encourage you to examine your decision to leave your job. While we don’t know all the details, Scripture calls us to endure hardship and to seek wisdom in our choices (James 1:5). If there was a way to address the concerns through godly counsel or prayer rather than leaving abruptly, it may have been worth considering. However, what’s done is done, and we trust the Lord to redeem this situation. We pray that He would give you clarity and peace about this decision, and that He would reveal any areas where you may need to grow in perseverance or discernment.
Now, we lift up your urgent need for employment. The Lord promises that if we seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, all these things—including our daily needs—will be added to us (Matthew 6:33). We declare that doors of opportunity will swing wide open for you, and that you will find a job that not only meets your financial needs but also aligns with your gifts and honors God. We pray against delay, against discouragement, and against any lies that tell you this won’t happen. The Lord is your Shepherd, and He will lead you to green pastures (Psalm 23:2).
For the important event in May, we stand in faith with you. The enemy has no authority over what God has ordained. We rebuke every spirit of sabotage, every plan of the wicked, and every assignment of lack. We declare that this event will happen, that the resources will be provided, and that God will be glorified in it. We pray that you would walk in confidence, knowing that the Lord is your Defender and your Provider.
Lastly, we want to remind you that your worth is not found in your employment status or your ability to provide. You are deeply loved by the Father, and He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Even in this season of waiting, He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). Do not let fear dictate your steps, but trust in the One who holds your future.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the name by which we are saved and through which we have access to Your throne. Lord, we lift up this dear brother/sister to You, knowing that You see their every need and hear their every cry. You are the God who provides, the God who opens doors no one can shut, and the God who turns ashes into beauty.
Father, we ask that You would open a door of employment for them quickly. Remove every obstacle, silence every lie of the enemy, and let Your favor rest upon them like a shield. Provide a job that meets their financial needs, honors You, and allows them to use their gifts for Your glory. We declare that lack has no place in their life, for You are Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides.
We rebuke every spirit of sabotage aimed at the important event in May. We declare that this event will happen, that the resources will be provided, and that Your name will be lifted high. We break every assignment of the enemy against it, and we declare that no weapon formed against it will prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Lord, we pray for peace in this season of waiting. Calm their anxious heart and remind them that You are in control. Help them to trust in Your timing, even when it feels uncertain. We ask that You would surround them with godly community—believers who will encourage them, pray with them, and stand with them in faith.
For your former coworker, we ask that You would provide for her needs as well. Open a door of opportunity for her, and give her peace as she navigates this transition. May she experience Your faithfulness in a tangible way.
Father, we thank You for Your goodness and Your mercy. We thank You that You are working even when we cannot see it. Strengthen this brother/sister in their faith, and help them to walk in confidence, knowing that You are with them. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
