We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation of harassment and emotional torment you are enduring at the hands of family members. The Word of God is clear that we are to love one another, even our enemies, and to bless those who curse us (Matthew 5:44). Yet, it is also written that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against us in judgment, we shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We stand on this promise today, declaring that the harassment, threats, and word curses directed toward you will not stand. They will not prosper, and they will not define your life or your future.
Father God, we ask You to intervene in this situation. We rebuke the spirit of strife, division, and hatred that has taken root in these family relationships. Your Word tells us that where there is envy and selfish ambition, there is disorder and every evil practice (James 3:16). We pray against the evil being sown through these actions and words. We ask You to break the power of these word curses in Jesus’ name. Proverbs 18:21 reminds us that the tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit. We declare that the words spoken against this child of God will not take root or bear fruit. Instead, let Your Word take hold in their hearts, Lord. Soften their hearts and turn their words to blessings rather than curses.
We also pray for protection over you, dear one. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we declare that you are covered by the blood of Jesus. No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn. We ask You, Lord, to surround this person with Your angels, to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and to give them peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let them feel Your presence in a tangible way, reminding them that they are not alone and that You are their defender.
Father, we ask You to bring conviction to the hearts of those who are harassing them. Let them see the error of their ways and turn from their sin. Your Word says that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We pray for repentance and restoration, not just for the sake of this situation, but for their own souls. May they come to know You more deeply and walk in the light of Your truth.
We also lift up the children involved in this situation. Children are a heritage from the Lord (Psalm 127:3), and we pray that they would not be used as weapons in this conflict. Lord, protect their hearts and minds from the bitterness and strife that has taken root in their homes. Let them see Your love and grace, even in the midst of this turmoil. We ask You to break any generational curses or patterns of dysfunction that may be at play here. Let Your healing and restoration flow through this family, Lord.
Finally, we pray for wisdom and strength for this dear one. When they feel overwhelmed, remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Give them the courage to set boundaries where necessary and the grace to extend forgiveness, even when it is difficult. Help them to walk in the freedom that Christ has given them, knowing that they are more than conquerors through Him who loved them (Romans 8:37).
We declare these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above all names, the name by which we are saved and through which we have access to the Father. There is no other name by which we can be delivered from the schemes of the enemy. We stand firm on the truth of Your Word, Lord, and we trust in Your justice and Your mercy. Amen.
