Summary (due to privacy): Prayer request for justice and healing.

Beloved of All
My friend was raped by a man she used to work with. He has ZERO remorse for the evil thing he did to her. Please pray for mercy for ### and punishment for the man who raped her.

Our hearts break for your friend, and we stand with her in this time of deep pain and injustice. The wickedness of this man’s actions is an abomination before the Lord, and we cry out to God for justice, healing, and restoration for your friend. The Scriptures declare that the Lord is a God of justice, and He will not allow the wicked to go unpunished. Proverbs 6:16-19 tells us, *"There are six things which Yahweh hates; yes, seven which are an abomination to him: arrogant eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are swift in running to mischief, a false witness who utters lies, and he who sows discord among brothers."* This man’s actions—his violence, his lack of remorse, and his defilement of your friend—are an affront to a holy God. The Lord sees her suffering, and He will act.

Yet even in this darkness, we must also remember that vengeance belongs to the Lord. Romans 12:19 commands us, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’"* While we pray for justice, we must also trust that God’s timing and His judgment are perfect. The wicked may seem to prosper for a time, but their end is sure. Psalm 37:1-2 assures us, *"Don’t fret because of evildoers, neither be envious against those who work unrighteousness. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither like the green herb."*

For your friend, we pray for deep healing—spiritually, emotionally, and physically. The trauma of such violence leaves scars that only the Lord can fully mend. Psalm 147:3 reminds us, *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds."* We ask that the Lord would surround her with His peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and that He would restore her sense of safety, dignity, and worth in Christ. May she find refuge in Him, for He is close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). We also pray that the Lord would bring godly people into her life—those who can walk with her in this valley, offering support, prayer, and the love of Christ.

As for the man who committed this evil, we pray that the Lord would bring conviction upon his heart. Right now, he shows no remorse, but we know that God is able to break even the hardest of hearts. Acts 3:19 says, *"Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord."* While we pray for justice, we also pray that this man would be confronted with the weight of his sin and turn to Christ in true repentance. If he does not, then we trust that the Lord will execute justice in His perfect timing.

Finally, we must address something vital: the name above all names. Your request did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, and we gently but firmly remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6). There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only in His name that we can boldly approach the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). If your friend does not know Jesus as her Lord and Savior, we urge you to share the Gospel with her—that though this world is full of evil, Christ has overcome it (John 16:33), and in Him, there is hope, healing, and eternal life.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this precious sister who has suffered such unspeakable evil. Lord, You see her pain, her fear, and her broken heart. We ask that You would wrap her in Your arms of love and comfort, reminding her that she is not defined by what was done to her but by who she is in You—a beloved daughter of the Most High God. Heal her wounds, Lord, both seen and unseen. Restore her spirit, renew her mind, and fill her with Your peace that transcends all understanding. Give her strength for each day and hope for the future.

Father, we cry out for justice. You are a God who defends the oppressed and executes judgment on the wicked. We ask that You would expose this man’s deeds and bring him to account for the evil he has committed. Soften or harden his heart according to Your will—either bring him to true repentance or ensure that his sin finds him out. Do not let him escape the consequences of his actions, Lord, but let Your justice prevail.

We also pray for protection over your friend—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Guard her from the enemy’s lies, from shame, and from fear. Surround her with Your angels and with godly brothers and sisters in Christ who will walk with her through this valley. If she does not know You, Lord, we pray that this trial would drive her to Your arms, where she can find true healing and salvation in Jesus Christ.

Lord, we trust in Your goodness, even in the midst of such darkness. We declare that You are sovereign over all things, and that You will use even this evil for Your glory and for her good (Romans 8:28). Give her the courage to forgive in Your timing, not as a dismissal of the wrong done to her, but as a release of the burden of bitterness. Help her to trust You with her pain and her future.

We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who bore our sins and our sorrows on the cross. May Your will be done, and may Your kingdom come in this situation. Amen.

We're standing with you and your friend in this incredibly difficult time. Our hearts ache for her, and we're enraged by the evil that was done to her. But even in our anger, we find comfort in knowing that God sees her pain and will not let this go unpunished.

We're praying for justice, yes, but also for healing. We're asking God to wrap her in His love and comfort, to heal her wounds, and to fill her with His peace. We're praying for protection over her, and for godly people to come alongside her, supporting her and offering the love of Christ.

And we're praying for the man who did this. We're asking God to bring conviction upon his heart, to soften it and bring him to true repentance. If he doesn't, we trust that God will execute justice in His perfect timing.

But most importantly, we're praying in Jesus' name. It's only through Him that we have access to the Father, and it's only in Him that we find true hope and healing. If your friend doesn't know Jesus, we urge you to share the Gospel with her. Though this world is full of evil, Christ has overcome it, and in Him, there is hope, healing, and eternal life.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up our sister who has suffered so greatly. Lord, You see her pain, her fear, and her broken heart. We ask that You would wrap her in Your arms of love and comfort, reminding her that she is not defined by what was done to her, but by who she is in You - a beloved daughter of the Most High God.

We ask that You would expose this man's deeds and bring him to account for the evil he has committed. Soften or harden his heart according to Your will - either bring him to true repentance or ensure that his sin finds him out. Do not let him escape the consequences of his actions, Lord, but let Your justice prevail.

We also pray for protection over our sister - physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Guard her from the enemy's lies, from shame, and from fear. Surround her with Your angels and with godly brothers and sisters in Christ who will walk with her through this valley. If she doesn't know You, Lord, we pray that this trial would drive her to Your arms, where she can find true healing and salvation in Jesus Christ.

Lord, we trust in Your goodness, even in the midst of such darkness. We declare that You are sovereign over all things, and that You will use even this evil for Your glory and for her good.
