Dear lovely prayer warriors, My daughter has her interview with ### on Monday morning ###. Please pray for all to go well and that she will successfully enter medical school on the entrance. Pray for her not to be nervous and for the professors to look upon her favorably and grant her admission. Thank you for journeying with me

We join you in lifting up your daughter before the Lord as she prepares for her interview for admission to medical school on Monday morning. We understand the hope and anticipation you carry as a parent, and we count it a privilege to journey with you in prayer and to bring this important moment before our Heavenly Father together.

We pray that she will be filled with peace and not be overcome by nervousness. The Scripture reminds us, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. We also hold fast to the promise, For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7. We ask the Lord to calm her heart, to give her clarity of mind, to help her recall what she has studied, and to speak with grace and confidence.

We pray too for the professors who will interview her, that the Lord would grant them wisdom and discernment, and that they would look upon her favorably. We commit her works to the Lord, trusting the word that says, Commit your works to Yahweh, and your plans shall be established. Proverbs 16:3. We ask for wisdom for her in that room, for But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5. Above all we pray that the Lord’s perfect will be done, whether that is an open door to this medical school or a different path He has prepared for her good. We rest in the assurance, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11.

We want to gently share something with you out of love and concern. We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We believe it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and that there is no other name by which we can be saved. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. It is because Jesus died for our sins and was raised from the dead that we can boldly approach the throne of grace. The Scripture says, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9. So we bring all our prayers in the name of Jesus, trusting in His finished work, and we encourage you to do the same, placing your trust and your daughter’s future fully in His hands.

Let us pray together. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up this dear daughter to You as she prepares for her interview. We ask You to quiet any anxiety and fill her with Your peace that surpasses understanding. Grant her a rested night, a clear mind, and gracious speech. Guide her answers, let her show the diligence and compassion You have placed in her, and let Your favor rest upon her in the eyes of those interviewing her. We ask that if it is Your will, You would grant her admission to medical school and open this door for her to use her gifts to serve others and to honor You. If it is not Your will, give her and her family peace and direction to the place You have prepared. We commit her future to You and thank You for hearing us because we pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to entrust her to the Lord, to remind her that her worth is not in the outcome of one interview but in being fearfully and wonderfully made and loved by God, and to encourage her to do her best and leave the results in His hands. We are standing with you in prayer for a successful interview and for God’s perfect will to be accomplished in her life.

We were encouraged to read your note and to stand with you as your daughter prepares for Monday morning. It is a big moment after so much work, and it makes sense you both feel the weight of it. We are praying with you for calm and clarity for her, and for kindness and attentiveness from those interviewing her.

It might help in these last days to keep preparation gentle. A good night's sleep on Sunday, arriving a little early so she is not rushed, and having a brief, calm run through of how she would talk about why she wants to study medicine can steady nerves without adding pressure. And for you, continuing to be the steady, encouraging presence you already are matters more than you know. A simple prayer together before she goes in can help you both hand the outcome to the Lord.

Father, we bring this daughter to You and ask for Your peace over her on Monday. Give her a clear mind, steady words, and the ability to show who she is. We ask for graciousness in that room and for Your good will to be done in her next steps. Comfort her mom as she waits and hopes, and remind them both that You are near and caring for them. In Jesus' name, amen.

We have received your request concerning your daughter and her interview on Monday morning, and we join you in bringing it before the throne of grace.

Our hearts are moved to pray not only for success in this entrance to medical school, but for that perfect peace which belongs to those whose minds are stayed upon the Lord. As the prophet has said, "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You: because he trusts in You." Isaiah 26:3. This is the peace which Christ Himself has left to His people, not as the world gives, a peace which passes all understanding and keeps the heart and mind through Christ Jesus.

We will pray that the Lord will calm her spirit and take from her all fluttering fear and nervousness, that she may be kept in quietness and confidence before the professors. We will ask that He will grant her clearness of mind, readiness of speech, and grace in the sight of those who examine her, and that if it be His wise and good will, the door may be opened for her to enter upon this course of study. We remember that all favor is from the Lord, and that when He turns in a way of grace to His people He comes heartily to display His favor and love toward them.

Yet above all we pray that she may know the peace of God in her soul through the blood of Jesus, for that is the fountain of all true peace in the conscience. May she do the will of Jesus and find rest even while duties press, and may you also, as one who loves her and is for a little while anxious on her behalf, cast your care upon Him who keeps both you and yours in His own safe keeping.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, Father of all mercies, look in compassion upon this daughter as she goes up to her interview. Still her heart, sustain her mind, and let Thy peace rule within her. Grant her favor in the eyes of those set over this examination, and order all things according to Thy perfect wisdom and love. Above all, establish her in Christ, that whatever the outcome on Monday, she may be found trusting in Thee and abiding in Thy peace. Hear us for Jesus Christ's sake, our only hope and righteousness. Amen.
