We hear your cry, and we come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer. First, we must address the situation with truth and love, as Scripture calls us to walk in righteousness and wisdom. You mentioned living together with this woman outside of marriage, which is not aligned with God’s design. The Bible is clear in Hebrews 13:4, "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers." We must rebuke this sin and encourage you to repent and seek God’s forgiveness, for His ways are perfect and lead to true peace.
The financial burden you now carry is unjust, and we stand with you in asking God to intervene. Proverbs 22:7 warns, "The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender." It is not your responsibility to bear the consequences of her choices, and we pray that God would release you from this bondage. We also rebuke any spirit of manipulation or irresponsibility that may have led to this situation, for the Lord calls us to honesty and integrity in all our dealings (Proverbs 11:1).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and through whom we have access to Your throne of grace. Lord, we lift up this brother who is feeling stuck and overwhelmed by the weight of this situation. Father, we ask that You would break every chain of financial bondage and unjust obligation in his life. Provide for him abundantly, Lord, and open doors of opportunity that no man can shut. Give him wisdom to navigate this season, and surround him with godly counsel and support.
Father, we also ask for Your conviction and healing where sin has taken root. If there has been any ungodly relationship or compromise, we pray for repentance and restoration. Lead him into Your perfect will, where he can honor You in all areas of his life. Protect his heart from bitterness or resentment, and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
Lord, we declare that You are his Provider, his Deliverer, and his Strong Tower. You see his struggles, and You are working all things together for his good. Strengthen his faith, and let him experience Your faithfulness in tangible ways. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to seek godly community, such as a local church or Christian brothers who can walk alongside you during this time. Proverbs 13:20 says, "One who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm." Surround yourself with those who will speak truth into your life and hold you accountable to God’s standards.
Additionally, consider seeking legal or financial advice if necessary to resolve the outstanding bills. The Lord can use even these practical steps to bring about His justice and provision. Trust in Him, for Psalm 37:5 reminds us, "Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this."
Lastly, we urge you to surrender this situation fully to God. He is your Refuge and Strength, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Let this trial draw you closer to Him, and allow His Word to be a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). You are not stuck, for the Lord is making a way where there seems to be no way. Stand firm in faith, and watch Him move on your behalf.
