We come before the Lord together, lifting up this time of storm, snow, and bitter cold that many are facing. Father, You are the Creator of the heavens and the earth, the One who commands the winds and the waves, and we trust in Your sovereign control over all creation. We ask for Your protection and provision for every family, every traveler, and every community affected by this weather.
Lord, we pray for safety on the roads—guard those who must travel, give wisdom to those who clear the streets, and protect first responders who are out in these dangerous conditions. We ask for warmth in homes where heating may fail, for food and shelter for those who are vulnerable, and for strength for those who work long hours to keep others safe. You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We also recognize that storms—both physical and spiritual—can bring fear and anxiety. But we declare that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Help us to trust in You, to look to You for peace, and to be a light to others in the midst of difficulty.
Father, we thank You for the beauty of snow, which You send to water the earth and prepare it for new life. Even in the cold, You are working. Help us to rest in Your care, knowing that You are with us in every season.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, through whom we have access to Your throne of grace. Amen.
