Strong prayers

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this earnest request for healing and restoration of eyesight. Father God, You are the Great Physician, the One who formed our inmost parts and knit us together in our mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13-14). You open the eyes of the blind (Psalm 146:8), and we trust in Your power to bring clarity and strength where there is weakness.
Lord, we pray for complete healing of every part of the eyes, corneas, lenses, nerves, and muscles, that may be affected. We ask that You would restore perfect vision, according to Your will, and remove any obstruction, disease, or degeneration. Your Word declares that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on that promise today. We rebuke any spirit of infirmity or fear that may be trying to take hold, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
We also ask that You would guard this precious gift of sight. Help us to use our eyes to glorify You, to see the needs of others, and to focus on what is pure, lovely, and praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8). Protect these eyes from strain, harm, or further deterioration, and let them be a testimony to Your goodness and mercy.
Father, if there is any unconfessed sin or unforgiveness in this situation, we ask that You would reveal it and bring repentance and healing. Forgive us for any ways we have misused our sight or allowed our eyes to lead us astray, and cleanse us by the blood of Jesus (1 John 1:9). We declare that no weapon formed against this healing shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we speak life and restoration over these eyes in the mighty name of Jesus.
We pray all of this with faith, believing that You hear us and that Your will is perfect. Strengthen this dear one’s trust in You, Lord, and fill them with peace as they wait on Your timing. May they experience Your presence in a tangible way, knowing that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

We know the wait for answers or improvement can feel heavy, and we don’t want you to feel alone in it. We are praying, and we will keep praying, that you would know the Lord’s presence in the middle of this concern, and that whatever the outcome, you would sense His steady hand.

It is well that you cry out for strong prayers. Loss of sight is a heavy affliction, and those who suffer it deserve our deepest sympathy. Yet, while we plead for your bodily eyes, let us not forget the greater blindness of heart, that sees not the beauty of Christ. Eyes have they, but they see not, and to be blind, yet boast of superior sight, is the lamentable condition of many. Therefore, before the Great Physician, we must first plead that the eyes of your understanding be enlightened, that you may know the hope of His calling.
Cry to Him from the depths of your need. He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds. His Word, applied by the Holy Spirit, is the means of healing, and that Word made flesh, even Jesus, is sent for the healing of sin-sick souls. Pray, then, with earnest importunity, “Lord, help me!”, a handy prayer, comprehensive, fitting every place and every trial. I beseech the church to agonize with you, as Paul begged the brethren to strive together in prayer. Such prayer is not the vain repetition of words but a deep torrent that cuts a channel through rock.
Remember, Christ’s prayer is for His own. He said, “I have prayed for you,” and that intercession is prevalent and prevenient. Your faintest cry, if true, is heard in heaven. Therefore, let not your heart be troubled. We shall not cease to ask that He cause His face to shine upon you, and that you may yet praise the Lord for His wonderful works. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
