Strong Oder

Beloved of All
Strong Oder outdoors making us sick already so ill and fatigued and gaseous after eating out and greens upset stomach pains and so hot out Lord Jesus please help rest in coolness

We hear your cry for relief and understand the discomfort you're experiencing. The symptoms you describe, nausea, fatigue, stomach pain, and the overwhelming heat, are indeed burdensome, and we stand with you in seeking God’s healing and comfort. The Bible reminds us in Psalm 34:18-19, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." Even in physical distress, God is near, and we trust in His power to restore you.

First, we must address the immediate concern of your health. The strong odors and heat you describe may be contributing to your symptoms, and it’s important to seek a cool, well-ventilated space to rest. In Exodus 15:26, God declares, "If you will diligently listen to Yahweh your God’s voice, and will do that which is right in his eyes, and will pay attention to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have put on the Egyptians; for I am Yahweh who heals you." This verse reminds us that God is our ultimate healer, but it also calls us to be wise stewards of our bodies. If these symptoms persist, we encourage you to seek medical attention, as God often works through the hands of those He has gifted with knowledge and skill in healing.

We also want to gently address the mention of eating out and the greens that upset your stomach. While we don’t know the specifics of what you consumed, it’s possible that the food may have been spoiled, contaminated, or simply not agreeable with your body. Proverbs 23:20-21 warns, "Don’t be among ones drinking too much wine, or those who gorge themselves on meat; for the drunkard and the glutton shall become poor; and drowsiness clothes them in rags." This isn’t to condemn, but to remind us that moderation and discernment in what we eat and drink are important. We should treat our bodies as temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), honoring God with our choices.

Now, let us come before the Lord in prayer for your healing and relief:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who is suffering from illness and discomfort. Lord, You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:3). We ask that You would touch their body and bring restoration. Ease their nausea, calm their stomach pains, and relieve their fatigue. Father, we also ask that You would provide them with a cool and peaceful place to rest, where they can recover and feel Your presence surrounding them.

Lord, we pray for wisdom for them as they consider what may have caused this illness. Give them discernment in their choices, whether it be in their diet, their environment, or their daily habits. Help them to honor You with their body, as it is Your temple. If there is any unconfessed sin or area of their life that needs Your cleansing touch, we ask that You would reveal it to them in love, so they may walk in fullness of health and joy.

We rebuke any spirit of infirmity or oppression that may be contributing to this sickness, in the name of Jesus. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We speak life and strength over their body, mind, and spirit. Father, we trust in Your promise that You will never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5), and we ask that You would fill this dear one with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Lord, we also pray for protection over their health moving forward. Guard them from anything that would seek to harm or weaken them. Surround them with Your angels, and let Your presence be their comfort and strength. We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer and for Your faithfulness to answer. In Jesus’ holy and precious name, we pray. Amen.

In the days ahead, we encourage you to rest in God’s promises. Meditate on His Word, such as Jeremiah 30:17, which says, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." Trust that He is working even when you don’t see immediate results. If you find yourself feeling overwhelmed, remember that God invites you to cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).

If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we want to gently share with you the hope that is found in Him. The Bible tells us in Romans 10:9, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Salvation is a free gift from God, offered to all who believe in Jesus and turn from their sins. If you feel led to surrender your life to Him, we would be honored to pray with you and guide you in taking that step. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father.

May the Lord bless you with His healing touch, His peace, and His presence as you seek Him in this time of need. You are not alone, and we stand with you in faith, believing that God will bring you through this season of discomfort into a place of wholeness and strength.

We hear how worn down you are right now. That strong odor outdoors has made it hard to get relief, and with the heat, the fatigue, the stomach pains and discomfort after eating, it makes sense you are feeling so ill and worn out. Wanting rest in a cool, quiet place is a very understandable prayer.

We are holding that request with you before the Lord, asking for His nearness and comfort while you are feeling so unwell. You mentioned ongoing stomach pains, fatigue and being sick after eating, and because that has been lingering we want to gently encourage you to reach out to a medical professional as well as you continue to pray, so someone who can listen in person can help look into what is happening.

You do not have to carry this alone. If you have family, a neighbor or someone at church nearby, it can help to let one trusted person know how you are feeling day to day, so they can check in and support you while you seek care.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus' name. You see how tired and uncomfortable they feel and how much they long for cool rest. Please bring Your peace and presence close, give wisdom to any who care for them, and guide them to the help they need. We ask for Your mercy and rest in the days ahead. Amen.

Your cry of weariness and sickness has been brought before the Lord, and we join you in carrying it to the throne of grace. You tell of a strong odor outdoors that oppresses you, of heat that wearies the body, of fatigue and gaseous pains and an upset stomach after eating, and we hear how your flesh faints under it and longs for coolness and rest.

The Lord Jesus invites the weary to a present rest, not a rest only after death or after long probation, but rest given when we come to Him there and then. It is a perfect rest, and yet it is a rest found more and more as we learn of Him. The Scripture says, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me, and ye shall find rest unto your souls. This is rest on the wing, rest in motion, rest even while the yoke is on, when the mind is made like the mind of Christ and the will lies down gently at the cross to fulfill the purpose of God. Trust and you shall rest.

We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they are too painful to let us slumber in silence, and they urge us to seek the Physician. Our great Physician is Jesus Christ. In Him there is an abundance of healing power. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the very leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ has healing virtue. The Sun of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings, and pardon and healing are joined together in His hand. He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds, and He pities the infirmities of the body also.

Let us pray for you.

O Lord Jesus Christ, look in mercy upon this suffering one, oppressed by heat and foul air, fatigued and pained in stomach and body. Thou knowest the weakness of our frame, for Thou didst take our flesh and art touched with the feeling of our infirmities. Grant relief from this nausea and pain, calm the inward distress, and give refreshing sleep and coolness. Provide air that is clear and a place of quiet rest, and in Thy goodness temper the heat and turn the odor and oppression into freshness. Lay Thy healing hand upon this body, and if it be Thy will, restore strength and ease. Above all, give that deeper rest which is contentment and security in Thee, a perfect satisfaction that ambition and fear cannot break, that even while the body labors or suffers, the soul may rest in the Lord and be still before Him.

We encourage you to rest in the Lord in this trial, to cast your care upon Him who careth for you, to seek such prudent means as He provides for the care of the body, with temperance in food and needful counsel for the stomach, and to wait upon Him who giveth power to the faint. He who has given rest will give you rest again, and He who has healing leaves will not withhold what is needful for your good. May the Lord keep you under the shadow of His wing, give you coolness and calm, and cause you to find rest unto your soul in Christ.

We commend you to His faithful keeping, and pray that He will sustain you day by day till this affliction be past. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
