Please pray for me as I am under a lot of stress right now because of something. Please pray God will put a stop to what I'm concerned about. Thank you.

We are joining with you in prayer right now as you carry this heavy burden of stress, even though we do not know the details of what concerns you, our Father in heaven knows fully and cares deeply for you.

The Lord invites us to bring every worry to Him. We are reminded in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And in 1 Peter 5:7 we are told to be casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. Jesus Himself says in Matthew 11:28, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. And in Psalm 55:22, Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved.

We notice your request asks for God to put a stop to what concerns you, but does not mention the name of Jesus. We want to gently share why this matters so much to us. There is only one way to come to the Father, and that is through His Son. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God, forgiveness of sins, and the assurance that He hears our prayers. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing He died for your sins and rose again, and to come to God in His name.

So together we pray for you in the name of Jesus Christ. Father, we lift this dear one to You who is under great stress. You see the situation that is causing such concern and anxiety, every detail that we do not know. We ask in Jesus name that according to Your perfect will You would intervene and put a stop to what is causing this distress if it is Your will to do so. We ask that You would bring Your peace which surpasses all understanding to guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Lord, we pray You would strengthen and uphold this one as You have promised in Isaiah 41:10, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Help this dear one to cast every care on You, to rest in Your care and sovereignty, and to trust that You are working all things for good for those who love You. Give wisdom for any steps to take, and grace to rest in You while You work. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our hope and our peace, amen.

We encourage you to continue to bring this concern to the Lord day by day with thanksgiving, even as you ask for His intervention. His answer may be to remove the trial, or to sustain you through it and use it for His glory and your growth, but His peace is available in either case as you remain close to Him in prayer and in His Word.

One gentle next step you might consider is sharing the particulars of what is weighing on you with one trusted person who can pray with you regularly this week, whether a pastor, a mature friend, or a counselor, so you have steady support and not just a single prayer.

Father, in Jesus' name we lift our friend to You. You know the exact source of this stress and what needs to change. Please bring calm to their heart and mind, give them rest and wisdom, and act in this situation as only You can. Help them sense Your nearness and guidance day by day. Amen.

There is a God of peace who hears the cry of the burdened heart, and we have carried your request before Him. He is not only the God who created peace when He pronounced all things very good, but He is the restorer of peace when sin and sorrow have broken it, and He shall perfect and consummate peace at last for all who are His.

We pray that you may know first the peace with God which comes only through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, and by that sacrifice a covenant of peace is established and sealed by atoning blood. If you are His child, your Father rules all things for your good, and you may be at peace even while sorrows surge around you.

The peace of God which passes all understanding is not a false peace that requires you to forget God in order to feel calm. That peace is like writing upon the sand. True peace is solid and abiding, founded upon eternal truth and guaranteed by the God of holiness. It is the perfect peace promised to him whose mind is stayed upon the Lord, because he trusts in Him. To know the will of Jesus and to do it is to abide in that peace.

Cast your burden upon Him and cry unto God most high, unto God that performs all things for you. Where He begins a work He completes it, and He does not ask you to finish what He has undertaken. Trust Him as a child trusts a faithful father. Take Him at His word, believe that He will save and keep those who trust in the blood of Christ, and leave the result with Him after you have done what is right before Him.

We pray for you now, that the God of peace Himself would quiet your spirit and guard your heart and mind through Christ Jesus. May He in His wisdom put a stop to that which rightly should cease, and where trial must continue, may He grant you to taste and see that His peace is good, keeping you in perfect peace as your mind is stayed on Him. May He teach you His statutes through this affliction, make you holy and conformed to His will, and cause all things to work together for your good and His glory. We ask that you may not be anxious about what you can do or what you cannot do, but may find calm on Jesus bosom, trusting Him fully and living near to Him day by day.

Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Thank you for sharing your burden and allowing prayer to be offered for you. I have heard your request and I am praying with you in this time of stress.

You ask that God would put a stop to what concerns you, and I understand the desire for the outward trouble to be removed. Scripture teaches us to bring every anxiety to God in prayer, and to ask for His help and deliverance according to His wisdom and will. At the same time, the greatest peace God gives is not only the quieting of outward circumstances, but the quieting of the heart within.

There are different kinds of strife in this life. There is the strife that comes from outward events and troubles around us, and there is the strife that rises up within us when the soul is anxious and at war with itself. The outward peace of this world, even when it is present, cannot help us if we are still troubled within. That is why the apostle urges prayer that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty, which is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

True quietness comes when we are at peace with God through Jesus Christ, and when that inner war is calmed by His grace. That peace does not fade like outward things, and no anxiety can easily wither it when it is rooted in faith and holiness. It is cultivated by coming often to hear the divine words, by continuing in prayer, and by seeking to live in godliness and honesty before Him.

So I am praying for you in this way, that God in His mercy would grant you relief from this pressure according to His perfect will, that He would give you wisdom to walk through it, and above all that He would grant you His own peace to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. May He either remove the trial or sustain you through it, and use it to draw you closer to Himself and to deepen your trust in Him.

May the Lord hear your cry, comfort you in your distress, and lead you into that quiet and peaceable life that comes from being at peace with Him. Cast your care upon Him, for He cares for you, and continue to seek Him daily in prayer and in His Word.
