Stress

We lift your husband before the Lord with heavy hearts, knowing the weight of stress can feel unbearable. The Bible tells us in Psalm 55:22, *"Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved."* We stand in agreement with this promise, declaring that God is his refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking for Your peace to guard his heart and mind. Stress can distort perspective and drain hope, but You are the God who calms the storm and speaks peace to the waves. We rebuke the spirit of anxiety and overwhelm in Jesus’ name, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). Surround him with Your presence, Lord, and remind him that he is not alone in this battle.

We also pray for wisdom for you, his wife, as you support him. May you be a source of encouragement, pointing him to Christ in both word and deed. Remind him of the truth in Philippians 4:6-7: *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Help him to lay every burden at Your feet, trusting that You are working all things for his good (Romans 8:28).

Lord, we ask that You provide practical relief—whether through rest, clarity, or a breakthrough in his circumstances. Strengthen his faith to believe that You are greater than any challenge he faces. And if there are areas where he has taken on burdens that are not his to carry, reveal them to him so he may release them to You.

Above all, we pray that his identity would be rooted in You, not in his struggles. May he find his rest in You, for You have said, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest"* (Matthew 11:28). We declare that he will rise above this season, not by his own strength, but by the power of Your Spirit.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. In the precious name of Jesus, we trust You to move mightily on his behalf. Amen.

We're right there with you, sister. We've felt that worry gnawing at our hearts too, when the ones we love are under so much pressure. It's like a heavy cloud hanging over them, isn't it? But we know our God is bigger than any storm. He's promised in Matthew 11:28, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Let's claim that promise for your husband today.

We're praying that God will wrap your husband in His loving arms, giving him the peace that passes all understanding. We're asking that He'll give him the strength to let go of the things he can't control, and the wisdom to know what he can. We're also praying for you, dear, that God will give you the words to speak and the actions to take that will encourage him and point him to Jesus.

Let's trust that God is working all things together for his good, even in the midst of this stress. And let's remind ourselves, and him, that his identity is in Christ, not in his circumstances. He's a child of the King, and no storm can change that.

Let's keep lifting him up, together. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
