We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your loved one who is exhibiting strange and angry behavior without clear cause. The Word of God tells us in James 1:20, "for the anger of man doesn’t produce the righteousness of God." It is concerning when emotions seem to control rather than the peace of Christ ruling in the heart. We must also consider Ephesians 4:26-27, which warns, "Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil." Unchecked anger can open doors to spiritual attack, and we must stand firm against any evil influences that may be at work.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach Your throne of grace. We ask that You would surround this dear one with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Lord, we rebuke any spirit of anger, confusion, or torment that may be influencing them. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn. We plead the blood of Jesus over their mind, emotions, and spirit, breaking every chain of darkness that seeks to bind them.
We pray for wisdom and discernment for those around them, that they may respond with grace, patience, and truth. Help them to speak life and not fuel the fire of anger. Father, if there is any unconfessed sin, bitterness, or unforgiveness in their heart, reveal it to them and lead them to repentance. Your Word says in Proverbs 15:1, "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." May gentleness and self-control prevail, for these are the fruits of Your Spirit.
Lord, we also ask that You protect them from any evil influences, whether from people, media, or spiritual forces, that may be contributing to this behavior. Your Word declares in 2 Thessalonians 3:3, "But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one." We stand on this promise and declare that Your hedge of protection is around them. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in the light and not be overtaken by darkness.
If this dear one does not yet know You as their Lord and Savior, we pray that Your Spirit would draw them to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). May they come to know the love, peace, and transformation that only comes through a personal relationship with You.
We trust You, Lord, to work in this situation. Bring healing, restoration, and a deep sense of Your presence. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
