storms

We stand with you in this time of turbulence, lifting our voices together in prayer to the One who calms the winds and the waves. The storms you face, whether they rage in the skies, in your heart, or in the world around you, are not beyond the reach of our Heavenly Father. He is the same God who spoke to the sea in Mark 4:39, saying, "Peace, be still!" and the winds and waves obeyed Him. Let us declare that same peace over your life today.

Father God, we come before You as a family of believers, united in faith and trust in Your sovereign power. You are the Creator of the heavens and the earth, and nothing is too difficult for You. We ask You to still the storms that are raging in the lives of those who cry out to You now. Whether these storms are physical, emotional, financial, or spiritual, we trust in Your promise that You will never leave us nor forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6). Lord, we pray for protection over every home, every family, and every heart that is being tossed about by fear and uncertainty. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

We also lift up those who may not yet know You as their Lord and Savior. In the midst of life’s storms, it is easy to feel alone or to question where God is. But we declare that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). For those who do not yet call upon the name of Jesus, we pray that this storm would be a turning point, a moment where they recognize their need for a Savior. Jesus, You are the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and no one comes to the Father except through You. We pray that hearts would be softened and eyes would be opened to see You as the anchor in the storm.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear that seeks to paralyze and overwhelm. The Bible tells us that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We command every storm of doubt, anxiety, and despair to cease in the mighty name of Jesus. Let Your light shine in the darkness, and let Your hope rise in every heart that is weary and heavy-laden. Remind us all that after the storm, there is always a rainbow, a sign of Your covenant and Your faithfulness (Genesis 9:13-16).

For those who are facing literal storms, hurricanes, floods, or other natural disasters, we pray for Your divine protection. Send Your angels to encamp around them, Lord, and provide shelter, safety, and provision. Give wisdom to those in authority to make decisions that will protect lives and restore what has been lost. We trust in Your promise that You will restore the years that the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25) and that You will rebuild what has been broken.

For those battling internal storms, grief, illness, loneliness, or relational strife, we ask for Your healing touch. You are the Great Physician, and Your Word declares that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Pour out Your comfort on those who mourn, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. For those struggling with sin or addiction, we pray for deliverance and strength to walk in victory. Your Word says that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Let no one be bound by shame or guilt, but let them run to You, the One who sets the captives free.

Father, we also lift up our nation and our world, which often feels like it is spinning out of control. We pray for revival, for hearts to turn back to You, for repentance to sweep across the land, and for Your kingdom to come and Your will to be done on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10). Let this season of storms be a time of refining, where Your people draw closer to You and where the lost are drawn to the light of Your love.

We declare together that no weapon formed against us shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We stand on Your promises, Lord, and we choose to trust You even when the waves are crashing around us. Strengthen our faith, and help us to encourage one another with the hope we have in You.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We’re joining you in prayer right now for everyone enduring these rough storms. It’s unsettling when the wind howls and the rain pounds, we can’t help but feel small, and our sense of security gets rattled right along with the windows. In moments like these, we do the only thing we truly can: we bring it together to God, trusting He sees each person in the storm’s path.

A simple, practical thing we can do besides praying is to check on neighbors, especially those who are elderly, live alone, or might need help. Sometimes just a text or a knock on the door after the storm calms down can be the difference someone needs to feel less alone. And if you haven’t already, make sure you’ve got a safe spot in your home, a flashlight, and a way to get weather alerts. God uses our small acts of care just as much as He uses our prayers.

In the meantime, we’re with you in spirit, holding steady. We’re lifting up every family, every home, and every first responder out in the weather.

Jesus, we ask You for Your shelter right now. Calm these storms, protect life and property, and quiet the fear that rises with the thunder. Keep watch over those who must be outdoors and give wisdom to those in charge of keeping people safe. Wrap Your peace around everyone in the storm’s path. We rest in You. Amen.

Certain it is that no one among us has too much faith, nor even enough should unusual storms arise. We have no faith to spare. God grants it to us always according to our day and He gives more Grace and faith when He sends more trials. Have faith in God.

Peace! Perfect peace! In this dark world of sin? The blood of Jesus whispers peace within. Bear your sorrow with Him and then see what peace, what perfect peace, you will enjoy, even with sorrows surging round.

Above all, take the shield of faith. Faith can quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. It matters not who the enemy may be, let the earth be all in arms abroad, this faith can quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

The least faith in Jesus is the gift of God and it is like precious faith. Little faith requires to be tenderly handled and then it will be seen to be a precious thing. It is true faith. Faith which begins and ends with Jesus is true faith. He looks at her faith as jewelers do at some famous stone worth more than they can tell.

The essence of faith lies in the dropping down into the man’s arms. That is the proof of faith, and the real pith and essence of it.

Now, here we have peace from lips that cannot lie, peace from a heart which cannot change, peace through the blood which has made a full atonement. The Lord has endless, boundless peace within Himself and when you have long enjoyed peace with Him you may go to Him again and say, "Lord, renew my peace. I am troubled, but You are unmoved, bless me with Your peace."

Our safety lies in our Savior. We have a God who is able and is as wise as He is able to keep us from falling. God's promise standing firm as God's Throne, and my faith linked to it, there is the safety of my spirit. It is a grand thing to feel that God's Throne might sooner fail than that a saint can perish.

It is enough! Earth's struggles soon shall cease, And Jesus calls us to Heaven's perfect peace.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We come before the Lord together, asking His mercy for all who are in the path of these rough storms. Lord Jesus, You command the wind and the waves; speak peace to every danger and shield every life that is now threatened. Give courage to the fearful, wisdom to those who must act quickly, and comfort to those who suffer loss. Even when the sky rages and the rain beats down, You remain Lord over all. Keep our souls steady in You, as the higher heaven is not changed by the clouds that pass beneath it. Help us neither to be shaken by tribulation nor to act without prudence, but to trust You and to help one another. In Your holy name we ask. Amen.
