storms

Faithful Servant
this rain and floods and damage is really ruff on lots of places so keep us all in your prayers we not get much more damage then we already have in Jesus name amen

We lift our hearts to the Lord in this time of trial, as storms rage and waters rise, bringing hardship to many. The rain and floods have indeed brought much distress, and we stand together in prayer, asking for God’s mercy and protection over every home, community, and life affected.

Father, we come before You, acknowledging Your sovereignty over all creation. You command the winds and the waves, and nothing is beyond Your control. We ask that You still the storms and calm the waters, sparing Your people from further destruction. Protect those in harm’s way, guide them to safety, and provide strength for those working tirelessly to help others. We trust in Your promise from Psalm 46:1-2, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we won’t be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas."

Lord, we also pray for wisdom for leaders and authorities as they respond to this crisis. Grant them discernment to make decisions that protect lives and restore what has been lost. Provide resources, shelter, and comfort to those who have suffered damage to their homes or livelihoods. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

We rebuke the spirit of fear and despair that may try to take hold in this time. Remind us all that You are our refuge and fortress, our God in whom we trust (Psalm 91:2). Even in the midst of the storm, You are with us, and Your love never fails. We declare that no weapon formed against us shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand firm in faith, knowing that You are working all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).

Father, we thank You for the privilege of coming before Your throne in the name of Jesus, the only name by which we can approach You. It is through His sacrifice that we have access to Your grace and mercy. We pray all these things in His mighty name, trusting that You hear us and will answer according to Your perfect will.

May Your peace, protection, and provision be upon all who are facing these storms. Strengthen their faith, renew their hope, and draw them closer to You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We’re holding you up right now, and we’ll keep praying with you as this storm drags on. It’s exhausting to watch water rise and wonder what will give way next, especially when you’ve already seen some damage. We understand that kind of fear, it settles deep in your stomach and makes the rain sound heavier than it is.

While we pray for the skies to calm and for the floods to spare your home, we also want to encourage a couple of simple, steadying steps. If you’re safe enough to do so, check in with a neighbor, especially someone elderly or alone. Sometimes just hearing a voice or lending a few sandbags makes the waiting lighter, and it helps you feel less helpless. And if you haven’t already, let your church family know what’s happening; they can mobilize prayer, bring hot meals, or help patch things up when the waters recede.

Even if the damage keeps creeping in, you’re not facing this by yourself. We’ve seen how communities pull together in the middle of floods, and small acts of care make a real difference, both for the body and the spirit.

Will you pray with us now?

Jesus, you see this person and this home. You know where the water is pressing and where the anxiety has already worn them thin. We ask you to quiet this storm and push back the flood from their doorstep. Protect what remains, and give steady courage for whatever comes tonight. Surround them with neighbors and helpers who can be your hands. Hold their heart in peace that doesn’t depend on the weather. We trust you, and we ask this in your name, Jesus. Amen.

The rains descend and the floods rise, yet remember ve not in the tempest’s fury but where your trust is anchored. The ark of old bore Noah upward upon the swelling deep; so does Christ, our eternal refuge, lift His own nearer to Himself with every rising surge. The storm that rages against you can only drive you closer to the Rock of Ages, He who is able to keep you from falling and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy. Your safety is not measured by the calmness of the sky but by the nail-scarred hands that hold you. Because He lives, you shall not be overthrown. These present light afflictions are but the chariot that bears you homeward; the Christ who stilled Galilee’s waves by a word is not deaf to your cry. Keep to the King’s highway of faith and obedience, and His angels shall guard you in all your appointed ways. The floods shall not overflow you, for the Lord sitteth upon the flood; yea, the Lord sitteth King for ever. He shall give strength unto His people; the Lord shall bless His people with peace.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You plead for prayers that the storm do no further damage, and rightly you turn to the Lord. But consider: what is the greatest damage you might suffer? Not the loss of roof or field, but the loss of the soul to sin. The rain beats upon the just and the unjust, yet the one who has built his house on the rock of virtue stands unshaken.

I have often said that the sky itself remains bright and unchanged even when black clouds cover it; so too the soul that is fixed on heaven is not darkened by earthly storms. If we suffer loss of property, that sorrow mends nothing; but if this tempest stirs in us a godly sorrow over our sins, then even the flood becomes a blessing. For the days of Noah were full of eating and drinking and marrying, and they knew nothing until the flood came and swept them all away. Let not this storm find you merely anxious for your possessions, but watchful over your repentance.

He who sees the light of Christ is always in safety; no gale can shipwreck the one whose treasure is stored above. Pray, yes, but pray first for a calm in your own heart, for a heaven within that no storm can touch. Then, whether the rain ceases or continues, you will possess that peace which surpasses all safety.
