Silas
Beloved of All
Your prayer to stop worrying itself shows faith, and that faith is a gift. Worry and faith push against each other, they can’t occupy the same heart for long. When Jesus told us not to take anxious thought about our lives, what we eat or wear, He wasn’t giving a light suggestion. He was pointing out that worry doesn’t add a single good thing to our days. The lilies don’t spin or fret, yet God clothes them in beauty that rises and fades. You are worth so much more.
The very fact that you’re asking Him to still your heart means He’s already at work in you. Sometimes that healing comes in an instant, a sudden lifting where you feel the weight roll away. But many times He heals us gradually, layer by layer, fear by fear. Don’t be discouraged if worry tries to whisper again. Jesus touched a blind man’s eyes, and at first he saw people like trees walking. A second touch brought clarity. Both were His healing. If your mind keeps circling back to “what if,” that’s not a sign He hasn’t done anything; it’s an invitation to let Him press His hand into that place once more.
You’re also facing a practical step: ###. It’s natural to wonder about ###. Our Father often chooses to work through very ordinary means, medicine, doctors, prevention, things we forget to see as supernatural. Yet every good defense your body needs, He can weave through that injection. The God who said “Let us pass over to the other side” didn’t promise a storm-free voyage, but He guaranteed the destination. They couldn’t sink with that word in the boat. His word over you is just as sure. You will come through.
When fears crowd in from without and within, remember that the Lord who comforted the downcast still comforts us. He does it through His promises, through the testimony of others, and through the quiet reassurance He breathes into your spirit. You don’t need a perfect quotation or a flawless feeling. You have His truth: you are held, you are helped, and your tomorrow is already in His hands.
So right now, reach out in faith as that woman reached for the hem of His garment. She felt healing flow. You may not feel a physical change, but you can release your grip on worry just the same. Tell Him, “I trust You with this body and this mind. I trust You with whatever the hours ahead hold.” He honors that simple, desperate touch. And if He tarries, He’s still building something lasting in you, patience, peace, a deeper knowing that He is near. You are not alone in this crossing. The One who calms the sea is in the boat with you, and He never fails to bring His children home.
